What a show. My short-term memory sucks but I think that first round was the best fight I've seen in a while, probably all year. I'm thinking possible FOTY candidate for this weight class.

It looked like edge or win Prust in the first, and possible edge in the second. That 2nd fight is a tough call, but seeing Rypien's head whipped back several times, even with the linesman blocking the view of Prust, leads one to believe some serious shots were landed by Prust. I'm a Rypien fan too but Prust really stepped up.

First fight was amazing and I gave Prust the edge because of damage, was very close but Ryp was bleeding.

Second fight Prust really didn't want to go by the looks of things but stepped up nicely. After a few replays Rypien gets the win as he landed some solid ones and looked like Prust was bleeding from the mouth after the fight as well as wiping blood from his mouth in the box afterwards. He was definately gassed and holding on at the end there.

Great scraps from these two.

Edge to Prust in round 1 for making Ryps bleed.

Edge to Ryps in the 2nd fight.

Too bad Darcy wouldn't drop against McGratts. Or Ryps for that matter, who does a lot of beaking.

While I like Ryps, a part of me wants him to go up against a true heavy and get laid out flat.

First Fight - Rypien early and late Prust middle. Prust had the more defining moments. Edge Prust

Second Fight - Rypien early and late Prust middle. Rypien had more offense had landed better shots from what could be seen. Edge Rypien.

Two great fights....I'm going Prust in the 1st one, and Draw in the 2nd fight.

I didn't like the way Rypien started the 2nd fight. Fine, if you want to drop your gloves to force the issue, but, if the other guy is going to oblige, then give him a chance to get his gloves off, before you start throwing.

Rypien pulls a hordichuck in the second fight. I wish those who are giving the nod to Prust in the first fight aren't just giving it to him because he bloodied up Rypien. Watch the fight again, other then the few in tight shots that Rypien hits Prust with, it's all Prust who's landing punches including those 2 hard uppercuts. Those 2 shots alone won him the fight.

Who's the clown talking about Prust from his junior days...get a life. Ask any fighter who's ever played in the NHL how many beat downs they took in Junior you moron.

And Siren's song...enough with your senseless posts. Rypien lost fair and square. The first fight for sure and the arguably the second fight, so relax and stop making up excuses that Prust this and that and Mike Brown, etc. If Prust was holding on tell me how Rypien's face got messed up. Even Rypien knew he lost the first fight which is why he wanted Prust so badly the second time and had to sucker him to start it...

FOTY. Either one.
Gotta give the slight edge to Prust on both fights.
Crazy to see two fights like that between the same players these days. Especially in the same game.

Win Rypien?

For the love of god your getting worse than the occassional Minnestoa fans that come on here.

Prust won the first one, and edged out Rypien in the second.

Learn to read. I never said he was undefeated in all his fights. I said he was undefeated against the lowest paid player in the league.

Maybe you should attend an english class or two

LOL, I always wonder how far I'll get into a thread untill "go to an english class" is used, so stupid.

Anyway, I like Prust alot, and I've always said if I was building a team I would look for Rypien. I was actually surprised how toe to toe the first one was, with win/edge Prust in my books.

The second one they both looked pretty tired, draw.

There was a shot of Prust in the penalty box (I'm not sure which fight it was after) and he was just heaving like crazy, it looked like he needed oxygen. Who doesn't love to see that kinda heart?

Dick move by Rypien in the second fight. Got the nice, tight jersey grab and then unloaded on Prust as soon as the gloves dropped. A guy with that sort of head-start should win the vast majority of the time. Nice job by Prust to hang in there and make it close.
