I guess all of a sudden the Bruins are just about the two points..

No Thornton, means leaving Scott, McLaren and Orr alone, which is lame IMO. This Bruins team was built on intimidation and setting the tone...which they haven't done in quite some time now...and the last two times vs Buffalo of all teams their players got DESTROYED in fights... They used to not take so kindly to that...but again, shortened season maybe? Who the **** knows.

If this is their strategy, then fine, but I better not see them goon it up vs some toughness depraved team like Winnipeg or Montreal or Carolina.

No crying about Kaleta's visor please. It was a clean hit and Campbell decided to try to get something going...gloves were off before he even got there...then got absolutely destroyed. Bruins fans always biatch about Kaleta but he has gone with Lucic and Campbell. And he can fight. Underrated, visor or no visor.

I remember when the Bruins lost a fight, there would always be another Bruin waiting to turn the tides...Where the fukk did that go?

But it's completely fine to say that John Scott intimidates the Bruins while sitting on the bench, because of his one career fight against the Bruins. Lucic and Thornton are shaking just thinking of Scott hopping over the boards...and gliding around the ice with a goofy look on his face.
Kaleta didn't start THIS fight though. There should be no visor debate on this at all.

As far as Scott, I have just watched my beloved duck McLaren , Orr and Scott the past 2 out of three games. Since when do the Bruins "just play for the two points?". I'm not saying they are intimidated (noway they are), but they have come NOWHERE to crossing the line vs Buffalo...but I have seen Buffalo throw two major elbows and take out the legs of Kelly crashing the net so he gets destroyed. I have also seen the Bruins have 17 and 15 hits respectively vs the Sabres in 2 games. So un -Bruinslike

Maybe the shortened season has had them change the gameplan up a bit?

So you would have hoped Thornton avenged his beating and challenged Scott? Coming of a concussion? The B's controlled the game from the opening faceoff, no need to wake up a sleeping giant(Scott)imo. I'm sure if the gentle giant starts throwing his weight around, Thornton will step up. Looked like MacDermid did quite well against Fraser, and Thornton was out for the game.

Of course not..One of the other Bruins could have stepped up vs Scott had they felt so inclined. Maybe somebody bigger? Thornton being here lightened the load for mcQuaid, Chara and Lucic tenfold.

As far as MacDermid is concerned, big deal he beat up Mark Fraser. Toronto's 3rd best fighter.

Plus, this is a fight site... I don't care about the rest of the game,.

True, it is a fight site. I made the comment 10 days ago in the B's team thread that maybe Chiarelli should inquire about the availability of MacGratton. He hasn't played as far as I know, and he could help against the obviously beefed up Northeast. I know we had him, but at the time, the division looked slightly different.

If you wear a riot shield in front of your face, it takes no courage to throw hay makers. I saw some people fawning over Kaleta's potential fighting ability, perhaps he's so wide open and aggressive because he's only susceptible to body shots or maybe a lucky uppercut.

Scott destroys Thornton, Ruff calls in your face time out. Next game Kaleta beats up campbell.

Yeah, Bruins haven't changed their style at all.
You go to ESPN and check the box score and took the most subjective stat and pass it off as indicative of how the game went. You didn't watch the game, so your chimes are worthless.

Funny that you're trolling of all people, with the current state of your team.

Im looking at a LOT of the Bruins homers and asking myself ' Is that how Buffalo fans used to sound? '. Dreaming up excuses for everything when their team is exposed?

Times are changing Bruins fans. Take your 2 points and be happy. You will see the playoffs while Buffalo will be golfing.

Hey, for any Bruins fans crying like Jack Edwards about Kaleta in this fight, how bout some props for him letting up at the end there? Kaleta had an easy KO uppercut cocked with Campbell completely helpless and he let him go. Would have been the second Boston fighter KO'd this year by a Sabre if not for Kaleta's merciful decision to not inflict brain damage.

Oh stop, the pile on by other fanbases is typical. I don't jump into Flyer threads, talk smack. In fact, I had no problem with Rinaldos effort against Crombeen. But have your fun, Flyers get a dose in a bit. B's get a lot of heat because they've set a standard, physical hockey that has proven to be a successful model to winning Cups.

I'm just getting some early licks in before your homeboys barnstorm the Leafs-Flyers thread later.

Well alright then. I tend to Look at fights now involving Bruins objectively. Hey, I officially voted Kaleta the victory, btw. Anyways, this thread at some 3800 views tells me one thing: the Bruins and their fans are great for this site.
