Great work with the slo-mo! That's a debate-ender like we rarely see on this site. Looks like each landed a single glancing jab and no more.

DRAW.

Yep.

Sticking with the draw call. Even slo mo doesn't clearly show whether the punch or momentum puts Erskine down.

The slomo shows that it misses. People's hands don't just phase-shift through people's chins and out the other side...even if they are the Bruins' enforcer. Erskine's head would have snapped.

The slomo also shows Erskine land two shots to Thornton's ear. Credit to Thornton for regaining his composure and not going down at the beginning.

I can already tell this thread is going to be insufferable with breaking down footage to see the angle of Erskine's skates at the point of impact with Thornton's fist and other meticulous details.

Thornton's punches landed somewhere, maybe not be square on Erskine's face but they put him down.

Win Thornton.

This thread is definitely going to be garbage...you're saying a punch to the shoulder pad gives Thornton a win here?

Well I know Erskine landed two goodies at the beginning but I don't know if Thornton landed anything but a possible grazer. Unless another angle pops up or alternate feed that shows otherwise, I'm going with a win for erskine.

KD WIN THORNTON

i watched the replay a few times, Watching Erskines stance and legs show he was in a position that he was about to fall, that punch made him say NO MAS.
Of course i wasnt in these mens skates but that is pretty clear a KD.

I was informed a while ago that clips would be posted by the Staff here ( which they do an excellent job of! ) and other clips should be put into the media section or another area.

I dont wish to ruffle feathers and respect the rules. I understand having too many clips of the same fight can clutter things up.

I enjoy looking at the analysis of Slo-mo as it shows a better picture of what really happened. Pesa was the originator ( from what I have seen/come to know ) of slo-mo clips on this site.

72% of votes have this as a win for Thorts. Some of the comments are outright laughable. No video made will change the voting of the majority but a selective few will give it a good thought before doing so.

Besides.. Its fun watching it in slo-mo.

No need for any insufferable analysis, just watch the video.

Thornton with the big right hand to put down Erskine. Decisive win for Thornton.

All the jealous Boston haters are out in full force already...watching the fight frame by frame to give Erskine the win. Laughable!

That's cool though, CSN Washington we didnt get to hear the part about Thornton returning the favor for Erskine since he helped him out before, that's pretty cool. Shows in the fight too, kind of unspirited, they didn't want to hurt each other. Draw, unless the punch landed.

Real time it looked like that punch landed. kd Thornton
