lmao. who were they supposed to fight? your hw is out after a big loss. your first line winger is supposedly too important. your substitute enforcer has already been dropped by mclaren this year, and orr would fill him in. his survival instinct kicked in and he went for the low hanging fruit.i don't blame him. He's just like the old man!

read the sentence after lmao. In fact reread the whole post. it's pretty self explanatory. I'll boil it down for you:who were they going to initiate anything with?there were no opponents.mcdermid went for mark fraser.im not dogging him for it, that's just the type of guy he should be fighting.

Who were they going to initiate with? oh, I don't know, anyone on the Bruins roster.. they could have stirred it up all night, thrown big hits, gotten in people's faces, chops after whistles, etc...

Did they do any of that? absolutely not. Don't make excuses for them.

This isn't about Macdermid, it's about Orr and McClaren not starting any trouble at all tonight.

In fairness, Orr did through his weight around a bit including taking a run at Chara. McLaren on the other hand was useless. I'm missing Mike Brown already.

I wonder how Fraser feels about being referred to as "low hanging fruit"?

Lol....

Between the two of them, they threw a combined 5 hits.

Chara/Lucic threw 7 hits combined, so for him to say they had no one to initiate with is just stupid, which was my only point.

I don't get what you are saying?chara and lucic played a combined 40 plus minutes. orr and mcclaren played a combined 8 minutes. chara and Lucic had only 2 more hits in 32 more minutes? what is your point?

The point about hits was because someone said Orr was throwing his weight around.

I know you're a Greenville fan, but try and keep up.

You said basically "who were they supposed to initiate with"... I said, the entire roster, or basically they could go after Chara/Lucic who threw more hits than both Orr/McClean combined.. I don't care in how many minutes, go after guys throwing hits against your teammates. It's not the Bruins players fault those two are plugs and can't get ice time.

The easily could initiate with the two guys throwing the most body checks against their teammates, no?

You're using excuses as to why they didn't fight or start **** tonight, It's pathetic.

actually he's a pretty damn good fighter, hard-hitting and entertaining. I was suprised MacDermid did that well against him, he's clearly getting better (and about time).

just so I'm clear on this, the big bad bruins who were the toughest team in the league, throwing their weight around, pushing teams around now are the passive ones who wait to be challenged?what changed?i thought they were the ones with all the team toughness who imposed their will on every other team?
