Because it was a prototypical knockdown. A TKO is when one fighter is unable to continue but not knocked out. This was a knockdown.

I wasn't aware after being buckled by a right, then dropped by another right, you are able to continue? he was wobbled when he stood up with the linesman.

That's the way it is, it's only on MacDermid to initiate that fight. No responsibility falls on McLaren.

Kd....shot knocks guy down he pops right back up
Tko...shots knock guy down he clearly has trouble getting to the box or dressing room without a hand on the shoulder
Ko....hes carted off on a stretcher
