In todays NHL we can really appreciate it. You ever played ice hockey? You know how it pumps you up seeing your captain going at it with the opposing teamīs tough guy?
LMFAO...since when does zdeno chara go "regularly" with anyone in this league? i'm not a chara-hater by any stretch, but quit while you're way way way behind.

Done
This is factual. Bruins/Chara haters won't acknowledge that though.

I hear what you are saying; however, if you look at his fights this season he is fighting for a purpose. Regher, a near line brawl. Harrison and Neil, defending teammates and Shelley, against a bitter rival on the road.

It's not like he has fought Andrew Cogliano and Teddy Purcell.

Draw in a pretty crappy fight.

One thing I can say and the rest of you should consider, would you want Chara pissed off at you? He's definitely not the best fighter in the league but I guarantee you he is one of the most feared. He's NOT a fighter, by any stretch but when he goes, he's dangerous.

Also, Neil gets the automatic win for not getting killed.

In the NHL and other leagues, when you're 6'9 or whatever, you're fighting everyone smaller than you. It's the Tie Domi/Stan Jonathan Syndrome where a bigger guy SHOULD win but if he doesn't do anything, he loses. It's just a lose, lose situation for Chara unless he's fighting a big heavyweight, which he's done. David Koci rings a bell and he did real well against him, bloodying Koci pretty good.

A draw is a win for anyone fighting Chara I think. Chara SHOULD win, he's bigger, stronger and has a mean streak, he throws to hurt when he's mad but Neil did a good job avoiding those shots.

Lastly, I think Neil is a sh1tbag but he's been better more recently and he could have thrown at Z while down and didn't. I remember Chara and Lecavelier dropping the gloves, Vinny went down and Chara has this giant fist cocked and locked and Vinny was absolutely terrified! LOL

Awesome hit on Boychuk, right in the trolley tracks!

I agree with alot of what you say indeed except the koci example. Koci fought belak the night before and it was belak whom opened him up for stitches. Chara popped koci's stitches open the following night but he still seems to get the 'credit' for that from alot of people.

Well, it sure looked good for Chara and he won the fight pretty handily as I recall. I do remember Koci fighting Belak right before so you're right on that point, certainly made Chara look good.
