Draw could argue an edge either way, has Thornton actually won a fight against a HW this year?

Live I saw it clear win Kassian, but watching it over a few more times it was indeed a lot closer. But I'm still giving it to Kassian. Wasn't FOTY or anything but it sure wasn't the crappy fight some are making it out to be.

I honestly think Thornton wins this. Kassian landed nothing in his big flurry at the beginning. In the latter stages of the fight Thornton landed three or four quick shots to the face of Kassian.

Win Thornton

pretty good fight , kassian was gassed at the end there , you could see him taking those deep breaths, shawn took some good shots , you see the knuckle marks on his forehead at the end there. shawn looked like he could of gone a lot longer and was just starting to gain momentum we he knew matt was pretty much done.

draw

After seeing it a few more times, I'm calling this a draw. Kassian early, thornton late. I believe thornton scraped his forward off Kassian's helmet. thornton doing a good job of weathering the storm early on and making a good fight of it late. couple of nice in close uppercuts, nothing major but effective.

Kassian early, Thornton late in the fight, nothing big landing. Draw.

Thornton landed the better punches. Just look at the last 5 seconds 2 good uppercuts and a overhand right. Kassian had a real good start but think Thornton gets slight edge. Let me ask how many of the trolls were waiting to call Thornton a puss for turning Kassian down early in the first. Was waiting for all the calls of Bruins being phony tough guys not wanting to fight real heavies. Let me ask something else how easy would it have been for Thornton to bail early in that fight. He was off balance and Kassian was firing rights. How many fighters stay with it. Easiest thing would have been for him to go down. Fight over. But he shows what he is made of comes back for at worst a draw. Give the guy some credit.

After watching the replay, a lot of the punches I thought that had landed didn't. Both Kassian and Thornton missed on a lot of punches.

Of those that landed, I agree Kassian had the early edge, but Thornton came back nicely.

Draw in a decent scrap.

Well, Thornton was on a mission, keep his nose clean and then pick the time to fight when they were down 2-0. I would give the edge to Kassian but he certainly did not push Thornton around or Thornton was not running from him like a "School Girl" as some mentioned earlier in the post.

I want to see Scott vs. Kassian. Anyone can beat anyone on a given night.

Might be inclined to give the win to Thornton especially if some of those uppercuts landed. Kassian was gassed after the first 45 seconds and too me it looked liked Thornton did more towards the middle and end.
