Boston at Carolina 1/28/13

Tim Gleason vs Milan Lucic:

Canes are down by a couple early in the game and Gleason and Lucic collide along the boards and Lucic shakes his gloves at Gleason. Gleason accepts and they drop the mitts and shadow box for a bit than Gleason throws a big right that misses, and than connects with a right to the side of the head that seemed to stun Lucic who ducked his head and ties up along the boards. Gleason kind of pushes Lucic and throws another hard right that lands. They tie up again and Gleason adjusts his helmet while Lucic throws a right that misses and than Gleason responds with two short quick rights that land and Lucic fires a right that is blocked. Lucic than ties up Gleason again and they wrestle along the boards. Mostly wrestling again and they are holding each other off and the linesmen even says "alright it's done" but they continue. Lucic throws a big right that partially lands and Gleason throws a right that misses as well, while Lucic misses again with a right. Then Lucic throws a great right that lands and Gleason fires back but only hit shoulder pad. Than Lucic looks to land a short right and pulls Gleason off balance and hits him in the back of the shoulder pads while he was bent forward and Gleason stumbles off balance. Gleason early, and Lucic late. I think Gleason hurt Lucic early than the big fella shook the cobwebs to come on.

i also think Lucic did enough at the end to get the win.

Edge to Lucic because he had Gleason at his mercy at the end with the jersey over Gleason's head. Overall it was a crap fight with Gleason having clamped on tight and Lucic unable to get free for most of the fight.

i guess you could give Gleason the win seeing the momentum completely went Carolinas way after the fight.

Gleason is kill. I'm pretty sure Lucic was fighting with his eyes closed too. He wasn't even trying.

Funny the only ones giving Lucic the edge are bruins fans. In reality both guys landed one good punch and grappled the rest of the fight but couldn't get free. Classic draw and as stated if anyone got momentum it was Carolina .

Well, then you know that Lucic has never lost a fight and that his fists are possibly the most destructive force in nature. I think the last guy that landed a solid punch to his face ended up curling up in a ball and vomiting all over himself with fear.

I've never seenn anyone say Lucic makes me people throw up with fear or whatever nonsense that was. Ive been on this board since the beginning,literally..and have been on and off since...i guess we just got some LOOCH HATERZ..lol

Draw..too many penalties in this game but now its tied up so Gleason fighting Lucic might have went Carolinas way, or the Bruins are just showing up half the period. Or both. Would love to see the game get nasty but its now a back and forth offensive matchup. Good hockey but I'm not liking the momentum the Hurricanes got (as a Bruins fan) Thornton has not been impressive since the RUUP fight.

Nah, I dig Lucic. I get a kick out of the threads whenever he gets in a fight.
