George Parros vs Brian McGrattan Dec 10, 2011 ...

George Parros vs Brian McGrattan

Parros skates by McGrattan during the play and McGrattan gives Parros a bit of a nudge and they go. Good technical fight by Parros as he grabs on first and gets good position, picking his spots with rights and landing 3-5 fairly flush. McGrattan trying to be aggressive but can't get anything going as the refs jump in as they slow down. McGrattan a little miffed with the refs, but Parros gets the solid W here, leaving McGrattan with a bloody nose. In the box, it looks like McGrattan is either giving props and/or asking for round 2. Or maybe something else, I don't really know honestly.

Win Parros. Time to give the Stache his due folks.

true. gratts wanted more and usually comes on late in fights. but in the time they got to fight big mac was more active but GP held him out with his reach advantage, then landed 2-3 hard bombs that def connected (bloody nose). grattts was more active but landed pretty much zilch!

Ya, looked like maybe a slight edge to Parros on first viewing to me -- nothing dominating though.

if your fighting big mac. id say anytime your not laying bloody on the ice you can consider it a win. lol man hes intimidating, and has to be the hardest puncher in the league. 2 min before the fight i was telling my GF "man i hope George doesnt have to fight gratts". cuz hes fresh off eye surgery and rusty, this was his first fight back. even more impressive!

Wow, you just can't please some people. Parros landed 3-5 flush to the face/temple undefended, and I don't recall McGrattan landing one good one and you won't give him a win? Holy cow, I see W's given around here for much, much less. Absurd, but hey, to each his own I guess. If they go again my money is on McGrattan, but that doesn't change the facts:

CLEAR WIN PARROS this time against who many (rightly) think is the top dog. Give it when it's due, folks.

Saw the vid on the other site. Awesome to see Gratts give Parros the thumbs-up in the box after the fight.

Props to anyone who will drop them with McGrattan but this is hardly a clear win (even if you shout it in CAPS). I did give an edge to Parros based on him maybe landing better overall but without looking at it in slomo it's really hard to tell what actually landed.

I'm pretty much a neutral observer here -- just calling it like I saw it.

I don't think it is. It simply shows where is the NHL going. I prefer seeing a guy like Gino Odjick fighting 3 guys in a row, getting his jersey off, challenging another guy, pushing the linesman that tries to step in, than seeing our todays good-luck-wishing heavyweight champs giving the thumbs-up while in the penalty box after a fight.

I know what you mean, it's sportsmanship and all that stuff ... but what do you want... I don't think it's that awesome to see... I would prefer seeing McGratts challenging Parros for a round 2.

Not seeing where you are seeing a win for either guy, it sure looked like a draw to me. Parros threw a few/landed a few and McGrattan threw a bunch and landed a few.

True.

Parros won this fight by landing the only shots that did anything worthy.
