And here we are again. I don't care how well they seem to play. Point is, only the first line can score. We're not going to win many games that way. And let's face it, teams are hardly even showing up to play us. And still getting the win.
And for the life of me, I am still bewildered that they do not have any type of pretection/deterant for John Tavares. It boggles my mind. Can You imagine if JT got hurt? It's actually scary to think about. Not too long ago Andy Sutton took a blatant run at JT putting him down for a minute. And no response. Not from the team nor did Howie or Butch make much of a deal about. Players are consistantly overly rough with Johnny and no one so mach at glares at the other players. Sometimes he is left to handle his own physical battles as well. This is unacceptable in my eyes. Every time Tavares goes down in pain, i get extremely worried. Because all of this would get significantly worse if he was not in the line up. If the coaching staff allowed him to get hurt because they never adressed the fact that he needs protection being our best player (by far), it would be tragic because he is certainly capable of being protected. If it was me, I'd just park Trevor Gillies on the bench. If anyone starting getting too phisical with JT, I'd just send Gillies on the ice to skate past their bench, yelling at the whole team. Or something. Say what you want about Gillies, but the man has quite a reputation at this point. The other team has to at least have to think twice about trying to bully Tavares. Because right now they don't.

Poulin to start today, and Rolston moved to 3rd line.

I don't see any way they can continue with this current set up. The fourth line is a trainwreck, especially because Pandolfo can't win a faceoff, time for him to be waived. Rolston should've been moved to the fourth line and maybe Nino moved up. The Martin line has been good with him, Bailey and Grabner...so much for that.
As I type that...Rolston blows two consectutive chances to do something in the offensive zone.

Man, I really hope they call up Haley or Gillies again soon. It finally seems like Rolston is falling from grace with the coaching staff and Pandolfo can't manage to win faceoff so someone has to at least be brought up to bring a physical element to this team. Like two four pointed out, JT has been getting manhandled with no response at some point in almost every game.

Nice to see Nabby get his first SO, the team really dominated Washington. Now, if only they'd remove Brian Rolston and put a player that would add some physicality. He looked awful tonight and Nino looked good. Move him up a line and add Haley or Gillies to the fourth already!!!

Tavares has really picked up his game. We haven't had a guy like this on the Isles in decades. I hope he can stay healthy. Blooming into a superstar who will be worth the price of admission.

Tavares could've had 5 points tonight, he's really unreal now. They've looked great the last two games.
I'd like to think Haley will get a recall for next game. The Flyers really seem to hate PAP and I have a feeling he might get a beating for running his mouth at the end of the game. Thank you, Dylan Reese. Two fights for the Isles in a week, they are really playing physical now

I think he and Hamonic are going to end up very special players in Islander history.
