I can't see how he's done yet. Right now, we have quite the log jam of forwards - especially on one ways.

I can see a trade taking place at some point in the preseason or after camp starts, just to thin that area out, getting a pick or prospect back in return. Simply put, we don't have the room for all the one way guys. Unless he plans on using waivers, which would be a waste of cap space, IMO.

I'll say this, it's been a painful ride, but Chuck Fletcher is molding this team into something special. We have a great (top 3 according to Hockeys Future) prospect pool to dip into, we are geared to win now, and the team appears to be a fun team that will work hard every night while not taking **** from anybody.

I think if a player or two is traded they will likely be Powe or PMB (if he shows he is healthy). Mitchell and Powe play a very similar style but Mitchell is a little faster. I don't think that PMB will be back with the Wild next year, so Fletch will probably deal him just to get some thing for him. I mean the guy got a draft pick for Shep, so he could easily get that for Butch. I would guess that Butch starts the season here and finishes somewhere else and some one like Coyle gets called up once Butch is traded.

I do like the idea of guys spending time developing in Houston and earning their spot in St. Paul rather have it handed to them like Shep.

Coyle looked really good in those developmental camp games, best player I thought. He really stood out; big, fast and with good touch. Grandlund look really small. Dumba looks very physical for a relatively small guy, he still needs to grow and work on his positioning but he could be fun to watch in a few years.

**** Gary Bettman. And **** the owners.

Because they've spent the last 7-8 years since our last lockout signing players to these ridiculous contracts, now they find out they're not making any money and we - as fans - are supposed to feel bad or be on their "side" during all this?

**** them.

Disapointing

Listening to the status of negotiations, it would seem we are screwed again..I am assuming the NHL and Bettman want a lock out..this is terrible state of events.....Never in my 60 plus years did i ever think they would do this to us the fans.....With the changes i was excited to see the wild and cheer them on..
I remember with fond days the Ciccerilli's the Pletts the Johnsons and just get plain pissed at managements attitude...We spend the winter in AZ and a core group gets together for all the games on dish....It is a great social event...Hell we even let a Cheesehead sit with us and drink his Shirly Temples.....but it doesnt look to good for this year......I hope Gary gets his head out of his ass and realizes the vibes that would rock the NHL if there is a lock out again,,

**** Bettman and all his cronies..

Come on!!!!!

Lets get this show on the road, things are so bad without HOCKEY that I actually watched the Cheesedicks play lastnight .....It isn't the same here golfing without talking hockey.. Management needs to get there head out of there ass's....On the brighter side As a Bulldog fan i know we will kick the **** out of the Rodents but hasn't Lucia got them playing great....This has to be the best team the Rodents have had since Dougie Woog took em to the promised land...I get to watch a film tonight of the second game...

Being second fiddle to the Bulldogs isn't all that bad

Not sure if any of you went to the Rockford/Houston game last night. But I had a hell of a time.

It's great to see these guys play a game as opposed as a scrimmage with teammates.

Some random thoughts...

Tyler Cuma is as a big a bust as I've ever seen. At least 12 turnovers last night, not joking or exaggerating. Completely lost in his own zone, and offers nothing in terms of that "two way" talent he was tabbed with when we drafted him in the first round. A swing, and a big miss for good ole Dougie Rise.

Charlie Coyle is a ****ing monster. I've watched him for a while, but seeing him against men last night, the kid can flat out play and is a physical force. Watching the Icehogs D try and move him was fun, and him coming in on the forecheck was like a wrecking ball. Sweet, soft hands as well. A great talent I can't wait to watch at the X on a consistent basis.

Jason Zucker is amazing. Some inside-outside moves on 1-1's had NHL level defenseman like Nick Leddy guessing where he had the puck. His creativeness on the PP led to a couple goals, and his passing is amazing. Plus, he likes to shoot. Get PMB out, and Zucker in.

I miss Brett Bulmer. The bigger, younger version of Cal Clutterbuck still hasn't stopped hitting guys. Forced a few turn overs, had some decent scoring chances, and created havoc everywhere he skated. Can't wait to see hopefully see him and Cal on the same line in the future.

Matt Hacket was amazing last night. Stood on his head for most of the 1st period and 3rd period as the Aeros couldn't do **** with the puck. Great lateral movement, and rebound control. Be good to see him up and playing with the Wild again.

Happy Thanksgiviing

Enjoy your thanksgiving back home....Herd the snow is coming and freezing cold is there in the next few days.... GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS............
now i have a question which is part of our golf discussion.......

If a player on lock out is injured playing overseas and the NHL/NHLPA gets there collective heads out of there asses.. what is the rule about the the teams(NHL) responsability to pay the player once the CBA is approved...can they suspend the player or refuse to pay him???? or are they on the hook...

I cannot see the league playing this year but stranger things have happened..

I assume health issues are dealt with in Canada differently due to socialized medicine but what about here in the states...Is there health still covered during a lock out....I realize this sounds dumb but i was just wondering for the sake of the players and family coverage???

Bulldogs looking bad i am digging out my Rodents tshirt to be a fair weather fan
