Nah... Not how "any" new Bruins fan is treated, just the ones that I described. There are plenty of rational, good Bruins posters. It's easy to identify them. They are the ones who don't thank your posts.

I think you would agree that the "standards" are different for new Kings, Blackhawk, or Penguins fans, no? B's fans seem to have to dive through 9 hoops of fire to prove themselves here. All I'm saying.

I invite you to direct me to a new fan of any of those teams that are as - for lack of a better term- "proud" of their team as the newest crop of Bruins fans. Success breeds "new" fans. Period. Posters that were here during the lean times have earned the right to brag on here. Posters that have only been here during the recent success and toughness are suspect IMO. All I'm saying.

Alright, there is a schism against anyone who roots for the B's who's joined since '11. We can agree on that. What do you expect though, an original 6 team probably has a **** ton of fans, especially after winning their first cup in 40 years.

Who's been bragging about the winning on here? And do we have to put on the kid gloves and be modest when talking about our team ? Do we have to relive the 90's?

It's a bit ridiculous to preach to others about gaining acceptance on a hockey fight forum.

You don't have to agree with me....hell you can hate me for all I care. Just spare me the holier than thou you have to earn my respect bit. Get over yourself.

To me thats similar to someone like Jack is describing, bragging about your tough guy who hasn't even played a game for your club.

When was the last time Scott "beat the **** out of somebody" anyway?I mean he beat Engelland but certainly didn't destroy him.

No, just the blind homers. Again, there are a **** ton of Bruins fans. Ever wonder why it's just a handful who get the "hate"? Think about it.

Jack, since the season obviously isn't cancelled, you should change your sig to "HF's answer to the Bitter Bruins Brigade."

That would have been a rational response. Is that similar to what Fatt Patt said? Not even close. He just straight up fabricated stuff.... Oops, I mean - used hyperbole.

I will take that into consideration! Two maroons does not a brigade make though. More like a dopey duo.

Gonna be a fun season with Fatt Clyde the Whaler Fan and the boys! Can't wait for the first Flyers/Bruins game just for the new low YSTB is bound to hit. One giant antimatter explosion.

*make way for an actual contribution to the thread now*

The Islanders added Joe Finley today. Not that he is the toughest guy out there but it is another big body that will hit and scrap. With the Isles very low on defenseman I expect to see him start the season with the team. I think the Islanders may be the toughest team going into the season.
