I get your point, but that's the canadians fault. they should have learned from buffalo. you don't see the bruins pushing them around this season do you? if you put yourself in the position to get taken advantage of you can only blame yourself if it happens.

Meh, I think it's relevant because this thread is about the toughest team this year, and since the Bruins have lost more than half their fights and they only win against smaller players, then they can't be in discussion for toughest team.

Bollig also seems to have lost his spot in the lineup. Columbus is tougher.

I'm giving Columbus the nod too, Bollig and/or Mayers get scratched often and Brookbank doesn't really fight anymore...
Also Boll's fought everyone, whereas I doubt Bollig would fight McGrattan or Bordeleau. |

Boston has had 4 fights in the last 2 games so lets see what they do when they play Toronto on Thursday. Knowing Boston they will concentrate on scoring goals that game like they do against buffalo. You might see Boston fight a few times on Tuesday since they play Washington a softie

how many times did a leaf crosscheck one of the bruins young "star" players? Itīs like I called it earlier.. If Chara and Lucic get angry (after cheapshots, bad calls from the refs, etc.) theyīll start to drop the gloves... if thereīs not much emotion in a game, no stuff after the whistle, no cheapshots, etc. they wonīt fight... Yes the bruins donīt run around and challenge everyone, but they didnīt turn there opponents down either...

There is no doubt the Bruins closed the gap over the weekend. A couple letdown games by the Leafs and a couple games with multiple scraps by the Bruins coupled with Chara doing some enforcing and Mike Brown gone have left us with a race to the finish between those two teams. Toronto still in the lead but not out of reach by any means.
Still a couple others that could make a run. I thought the Flyers were definitely in the conversation for top 3 or 5 based on what was happening on the ice but losing McGinn and Sestito in the same week will hurt. Vancouver seems to be up there but I just don't see them play enough. If crying in the media over dirty hits counts as toughness then my Rangers are making a serious run at it.
