Not the toughest, but it sure is nice seeing two heavies dress at the same time in Orr and McLaren, and with Fraser on the back end and we'll see what happens when Brown comes back. But basically it's nice to force the other team to dress a tough guy if they have that option. Been a long long time overdue, but this belongs Boston, for now.

I wouldn't say we have the toughest team as a whole either, however, I do feel we have the toughest 4th line in the league.

i think their grip on it is slipping away. i'd say either the leafs or buffalo are ahead of them at this point.i'm talking about actual events. the bruins are still toughest on paper and in theory, but what actually occurs tells a different story right now. the flyers are another tough team on paper, but injuries and who actually dresses tell a different story.

What happened? We can't win games right now. Tough guys aren't going to play for Torts if the team is losing games.

isn't that all tyhat really matters anyway? we can sit here and run down through the entire lineup, but how often does that happen? if your 4th line kicksthe crap out of the other teams 4th line or fighters, things rarely progress past that. to me. having 2 or 3 guys who can kick ass beats a team full of 'willing' guys any day.

The Bruins need one of those games where a mini-line brawl breaks out.

Maybe Lucic should run a goalie soon?

For the Flyers I hope they sit Knuble or Feds when Simmonds comes back and the other when Hartnell returns.

the flyers should just get rid of feds. i think sestito needs to stay in the line up. when he's not imitating wayne gretzky he actually draws alot of penalties. and rinaldo has turned into an animal, so he needs to stay in the line up too. i love knuble, but if simmonds and hartnell are both healthy there's not much room for him.

For the most part, I guess. Being a Leafs fan though, one thing we need the most is some toughness in the top 6. I think having that compliments the fourth line toughness in a huge way.

I think the leafs are pretty stacked. They're probably in the top 3, I would say.

Colton Orr
Frazer McLaren
Mike Brown IR
Mark Fraser
Dion Phaneuf
Mike Komisarek

I gotta disagree. While guys like Phanuef and Komiserak are not good fighters, guys like that add a degree of toughness to any team. They will drop the gloves on occasion and will defend teammates.

They're like Nathan Horton and Johnny Boychuck for the Bruins or like Brandon Dubinsky and James Wiznewski in Columbus.

Not great fighters individually, but as part of a group add to the toughness.

Does that make any sense?...Lol.

I guess you can count Stafford for Sabres as he dropped his gloves to defend his teammate earlier this season then.
