Christ I hate saying this but it looks like the 2 NY teams are certainly at or around the top. I like the Isles if they deploy their whole arsenal though.

I think Lucic soften Burrito up to get TKO"D by a 19 year old rookie, On the other hand Mcquaid looked horrible in a fight with Robbins last night in a scrimmage game. But hell who says the B's cannot call him up to fight a 2 or 3rd fighter of another team.

Oh i agree with the Islanders question is how many out of the 6 guys dress, maybe 2. Funny thing they dress 4,5,6. They lose every night 7-1

The last time I looked, the Kings won the Stanley Cup by beating a pretty tough team from New Jersey and they didn't drop the gloves to do it.

When will some of you wake up and realize that it's all about the money, making the playoffs, winning trophies and sadly, not fighting.

Times have changed, for the worse, I'm afraid.

NY, Philly, Isles, Bruins, Sabres, etc might be able to ice a tough lineup but the Kings showed that you can be tough without dropping the gloves.

Seems like all those soft Western Conference teams are trying to copy Los Angeles and not Buffalo.

It sucks but it's true.

And it seems that the entire East is following Boston's lead, getting tougher! So...

Yeah, Mike... but this is a site predicated on hockey fighting, not hitting, mental toughness or anything else.

Our definition - or most of ours anyway- in the context of toughest team means who would win the fights, period.

They beat up the Sutherbys and Burrushes of the world, but Jody Shelly didn't even get a harsh word when he almost killed Adam McQuaid.

To quote my good friend Big Jack...."very telling".

You seem to remember all the times the didn't take liberties. And I'm sure they have taken liberties more times than not.

Dominic Moore was a pansy all series, so this:

Bruins Horton hits NHL TBLightning Moore Lucic...

Barch wrecks Paille, so this:

Krys Barch vs Shawn Thornton Dec 8, 2011 - YouTube

Backes hits the vet Recchi:

Andrew Ference fights David Backes w/SlowMo...

I can go on and on

The last time I looked, this site was called hockeyFights.com

Most of us know what hockey's all about now. Just winning at all costs even if it means getting your asses kicked physically all game. A good combination of toughness and goal-scorers can win you the cup though like when the ducks won it not too long ago.

You're in a thread that asks who the toughest team in 2013 is. Not "What will it take to win the Stanley Cup in 2013?"

To be fair, you said that the Bruins didn't "take anyone's ****". Cookie showed that they did in fact take **** from teams without reprisal, or weeks later in the Cooke case. I realize that was a few years ago. A more accurate statement would have been that over the past few seasons they haven't taken any ****. They changed their style, and teams have followed suit. I thank them for that. The Cooke incident did for the Bruins what I hope the miller incident will do for the Sabres ... Make them re- evaluate their personnel and style. I think you are off base saying the Bruins, Flyers and Rangers are "the only tough teams". I guess we will find out starting this Sunday ...

I can't believe that my post was taken as "bait" It was basically just a logical assumption of something that could happen. Wow, what a nonsensical response that followed.

You and me both!

I thought I had a logical scenario too.

MN will own the west.

Kassian, Stoner, Konopka who had a good article written about him, he seems pumped up to play psyical. He went along the lines of saying if anyone touches Granlund, Parise, etc he vowed revenge.

With extra grit with Dowell, Clutterbuck, Powe, and Falk who decided to finally use his size and hit guys.

Palmieri ****ing sucks, if they play him i expect him to use all 230 lbs to kill bitches.
