Unlike other seasons, we don't have enough d-men to actually ice a team. Finley is easily number 6. Bailey and Joensuu are both already hurt and potentially Grabner. Boulton just about has a spot locked.

They really don't have a choice so as of now you're looking at Carkner, Finley, Boulton and Martin.

Okay, I think we all know the Bruins have a tougher team. The Kings are getting their as far as being a tough team but I wouldn't put them in the top ten in the league.

Would be nice to have a big mean defensemen too.

huh? what the f*ck are you smoking?

King had ONE fight last season and it was in AHL. He is NOT exactly a "fighter". Brown never fights but did have one last season. Stewart only has 2 fights last season.

Comparing Bruins and Kings....Bruins kill Kings BY FAR.

I think the toughness is really spread out this year. There are still really soft teams but they all got a little tougher, and got a few guys who could scrap. Detroit, Carolina, Buffalo, and Montreal all got tougher. It's good to see, weather you like it or not.

It's sad how weak the West is compared to the East. I think easily 8 of the top 10 teams in FM's will come from the East if not the entire top 10.

King actually fought in the playoffs against Crombeen. Sadly King decided to dawn a visor this season Yes the Bruins are tougher than the Kings by far, but the Kings do have decent "team toughness". With Clifford, Nolan, Stewart, who was quoted on twitter yesturday that he knows his role is to be physical and mix it up. And guys like Fraser, Greene, who's fighting skills are laughable, but they always seem willing, and Richards who will drop the gloves a handful of times a year.

Now that would be an entertaining cup final. And as much as I hate the Bruins, I would LOVE for the Kings to have their toughness.

king won his playoff fight by the way and stewart routed of all people kyle clifford during the regular season..nolan has been active somewhat in the ahl and also had a playoff fight.a loss but not a bad showing clifford is stil a pup learning his craft and as stated richards will have a handfull of fights . penner playing for a contract and when he was a duck would mix it up every now and then . brown in a rare fight scored a knockout on a euro a while back no specialist but a lineup full of stand up guys i will take them anyday

Your team is NOT the toughest team in the league, period. I'm sure all other (non-homers) will agree. No discussion need for this as you need a common sense to know that.

Good article by Ruff - let's see if he can back up his talk.

http://wgr550.com/Sabres-show-some-o...ideas/15280193

"Now of course just because Scott and Ott are here it doesn’t mean the Sabres are automatically tougher. Ruff said, “We have to go out and prove we can be a lot tougher team to play against. Ott goes through the body, there’s no secret there, there are going to be some punishing hits. There’ll probably be some penalties with some aggression that we’ll have to live with, but it’s another piece that should make us a little bit tougher.”"

I really hope your not refering to the Svitov fight(the only euro he's fought), when they both had their jerseys over their heads. There was no knockout or even anything close to it. Brown has never knocked anyone out.... with his fist. Why is it so hard for you to admit that the Kings dont have one of the toughest lineups?

The Kings are one of the softest teams in the league, case closed.
