I think Rick Rypien shows from time to time that he can score, and even some times dangle. Not sure he can burrie enough to warrant himself being one of the elite "fighter goal scorers"
I think Lucic has the skills to be a 15-20 goal scorer with 10-15 fights a year. If were talking a scorer that fights, every now and then, Iginla, hands down.

David Clarkson right now has 13 points in 16 games, basically on par with Iginla, but with 4 fights. Not sure if this kind of production will last all year with Clarkson or not, but he's tougher than Iginla, so I am giving him the edge for the time being. Not only is he pretty ****ing tough and able to produce at a fair clip for a player of his role, basically half of the goals he scores are game-winning goals.
With Matt Carkner on the team this year, I expect Chris Neil's numbers to get back up to where he belongs at around 25 to 35 points.

That is probably reasonable considering the good start he got this year, but he is usually only good for 2 or 3 per year. It would be interesting to look at his stats from NJ to see if his goals are in bunches, or if he produces at a steady clip.

Lucic isn't in the same galaxy as Richards & Iggy player-wise. BTW - the best fighter in hockey for my $$$ is Cam Janssen. He's a f/&%$%'n rabid pitbull. Last edited by CanadianFlyer; 11-17-2009 at 12:23 PM. |
