Who do you think will go in pre-season?

I think you'll see Jon Mirasty get into as many fights as possible along with David Koci. Maybe Orr will drop em a few times. Obviously anyone fighting for a job will try to impress there team. Mitch Fritz might go alot too but he didn't in his last pre-season attempt, I was expecting him and Brashear to go because they played eachother. Anyone know why they didn't?

Although it may be way to premature at this point, my feeling is that all of our AHL favorites will go as many times as possible to show thier parent teams coaches that they have the fire....and are willing to do whatever it is to gain a spot on the big club or to at least burn an image into that coaches head when it comes to who should be called up next.

This is kind of a pointless thread. Because who will go in the pre-season? Well in the pre-season everyone goes. Pretty much every single fighter in the NHL will fight atleast once every pre-season.

mainly AHL fighters and new guys trying to win a roster spot fight in the preseason. most veterans seldom drop in the preseason

He has absolutely nothing to fight for in the pre-season..he's on the team, no matter what, he's the champ, he's the top dog, he's the man.

Leafs play St. Louis a couple of times. I'm pretty sure Ryan Hollweg and Cam Janssen will find eachother at some point.

I'm sure he'll be given some reasons. Let's say some young guy tries to make a name for himself takes a run at Saku Koivu, then Laraque has a reason that he has to fight. And it will happen. Maybe not Koivu, but the Habs won't get through the entire pre-season without at least one or two opponents doing something stupid to give Laraque more than ample reason to drop the gloves.

If the reason is something as bad as a cheap shot at Koivu or someone running Carey Price, then Laraque had better do his job and take things to task. At that point it doesn't matter whether it's the pre-season or not. He is an enforcer and at any and all times he has to be ready to go to bat for his teammmates, whether it's the pre-season or not.

I absouletely, positiveley know that BGL is gonna fight this pre-season. You always have to prove yourself. It don't matter if your last years champ. New team, new teamates, new fans. Montreal didn't have anyone who could fight last year, now they have a legit enforcer. I expect BGL to fight atleast a few times this pre-season. No matter what the Canadien's fan said above, you always have to prove yourself!

gratton and grant should lead the way battling for the enforcer job. i remember reading edmonton has a few bruisers trying out for the enforcer job, so hopefully their games are entertaining. hopefully koci and godard try to make impressions on their new squad.
