hands down. Shawn Thornton is the best right now. The best fighter with skill to ever play the game was Randy McKay.

Shawn Thornton, easily. He plays hard every night, and produces, may not be on the scoresheet, but produces.

Really? Ill give it to you that they may be better fighters but no way are they better players. Thornton had 11 points last year while Asham had 20. Erskine and Walker maybe are better defensively but no where near him offensively. Erskine isnt even that good on Defense.

Erskine and Walker regularly play 15-20 minutes a night on defense. Erskine plays regularly on the PK and 4 on 4 overtime. Erskine is a better dman than Walker.

A defenseman that plays 15-20 minutes a game is a more valuable than a fourth liner who plays less than 10 minutes a game.

Asham has been on the 1st line several times this season and has been getting some PP time.

Honestly strictly talent-wise I think Asham is better than anyone you mentioned.

I agree they're better fighters, but not a chance of being better players. Asham was playing on the top line and didn't really look outta place.
Dudes got great hands, better than the three you mentioned anyway.

can't really compare Asham too Erskine and Walker, both are shut down defensemen and won't be putting up alot of points, but Saying Thornton (unless talking about Joe of course) is better then Asham is a laugh
