If Cote keeps his pace up i think he may crack someones 10 spot, well for the NHL this season that is.

Lets be clear though for everyone, I'm NOT SAYING HE'S THE BEST OR CLOSE TO IT! Just saying he's getting close.

Riley Cote will get in the top 10 eventually. Once some fighters begin to retire and he constantly improves his fighting ability theres nothing stopping him.

1.) Donald Brashear
1.) Georges Laraque
3.) Derek Boogaard
4.) Brian McGrattan
5.) Eric Godard
6.) D.J. King
7.) Colton Orr
8.) Wade Belak
9.) George Parros
10.) Scott Parker

Even though Parker barely fights cause of ice time he still can hang with any guy on that list. I won't argue with anyone over them not agreeing as it is just my opinion.

Guys like Parker and Belak could be top 5 if they fought more. Couple more wins and Cote is gonna be real close.

1.) Georges Laraque
2.) Donald Brashear
3.) Derek Boogaard
4.) Brian McGrattan
5.) D.J. King
6.) Eric Godard
7.) Wade Belak
8.) Colton Orr
9.) George Parros
10.) Andrew Peters

S. Thornton and J. Shelley have dropped out of my top 10, and Belak and Parros have been inserted.

Trending down: Peters, Orr, and Godard (just one spot)
Trending up: King, McGrattan, Belak, and Parros

Again, I'll have another one at the end of the season, and it could change a lot...
I think Peters should be off of the list.....IMO...
And why have Orr and Godard gone down? Expecially since theyve both beat guys ahead of them on your list this season.

Belak keeps on winning, while Laraque and Brashear give us a 4 second lovefest once a month....

Maurice is holding Belak back, he doesn't play him as much as he should be (which is every game) and when he does play Maurice will never put him on at the same time as the other teams heavy. He does sometimes but not much.

I'm kinda in the middle with Belak. If he was on another team I might like him more. If he would shut his mouth and not do interviews I would like him more. If his coach wasn't such a homo and played him more would like him more. If he didn't look like a super sized Jason Blake I might like him more..........But he has all of them things working against him so I dislike him for now. He has the potential to really be a top 5 guy anytime he wants to be but he just gets so close then takes a bunch of steps back all the time. I think when Maurice gets fired next week and maybe even JFJ then he might get a trade to a team wanting to use him for what he is good at or the new coach will make him do what he is good at.

Well Peters is certainly trending down. I had him higher to begin the season (around #6), but he just hasn't been that impressive so he's dropped to #10. The reason I still have him on there is because other heavyweights in the league that aren't on my top 10 haven't done much either. Who would you put ahead of Peters? I'm not sold on guys like Ivanans and Roy. Shelley loses too often, and it hasn't been a great season for Shawn Thornton. Who else is there? Parker? Doesn't fight enough. Cote and Downey? Well, they just aren't good. That's the problem.

What in the world are you talking about? Neither of them have beaten ANYBODY that's ahead of them on my list this season...

Orr has lost lost to McGrattan, Brashear, AND Belak.

And Godard has lost to Laraque, and he's had draws against Boogaard and King.

So who have they beaten that's ahead of them? Nice try...

They only fell about one spot, and that's because guys like King and McGrattan have moved up, and they (King and McGratts) have just been more impressive, IMO. Orr and Godard can be inconsistent.

Ha. That's funny.

And Laraque and Brashear DON'T keep on winning?

Umm... they are the two most dominant fighters in the league... they win a lot... more than Belak. So what are you trying to say? That Belak is better? Give me a break.

What's wrong with Roy? He has had a very impresive season IMO.

He's got a win against David Koci, and Riley Cote, and has some impressive showings against Donald Brashear, Chris Simon, and Andrew Peters. I think Roy has been making the best case this year to enter the top ten. He has at the evry least done more than Andrew Peters.

.
I definitely think Ivanans has show to be a Top 10 guy. He's had good wins against Lucic and Mcleod, and A great showing against Koci, which I think was a win not a draw.

As for Orr....He has beat Belak once this year, and had a really close fight with him which shouldve been scored a draw. He also had a T2T with Mcgratts, that shouldve been scored a draw as well. That should put him at least in front of Belak as top 6.
And Godard has trashed Boulerice, and had great scraps against Boogard, King, and BGL.

My point is, why do Orr and Godard lose their spots for putting up good fights against top 3-4 HWs, but the top 3-4 never change when they dont beat these guys like they hypothetically should?
