yes really, watch the man play and stop reading stat sheets. he has decent hands and is good on the forecheck and cycle. no one said it was his best season, i said as an enforcer he's got skills to actually play hockey

Final List for the year. I thought about this one longer and rewatched all their fights.

1. Wade Belak
2. Eric Godard
3. Donald Brashear
4. Derek Boogaard
5. Colton Orr
6. Georges Laraque
7. Raitis Ivanans
8. Michael Rupp
9. Matt Walker
10. Cam Janssen

Honerable Mention

George Parros.
Parros is a guy usually in the Top Ten. But this year he had too many losses. Wins against Shelley McGrattan and Hordichuck were nice but He also lost to Andre Roy who had a disapointing season at best. His draw with Brashear was nice but it wasnt enough to overcome losses to Roy Peters Stortini 2x Hordichuk 2x and a draw with Boll.

Jody Shelley
Started the season off nice with wins over Cote Godard and De Vries 2x. But then it all just went down hill with draws against Boll and Valabik and Bad Loses to Laraque and a TKO loss to Hordichuk. Ended the season with three straight loses Mcgrattan Parros and Ivanans.

Eric Boulton
Boulton had a good rebound season. Started the season off with a win over Boynton and had the Fight of The Year with Orr. Had draws with Lucic and Thornton which didnt help. Also had two losses to Rupp and one to Brookbank. But he did have some wins over Cote 2x Vandermeer and Konopka. Great Season for Boulton but not Top ten worthy.

Darcy Hordichuk
Darcy had a fairly good season this year but not top ten worthy. Darcy had some nice Wins over Parros McCarty and a TKO win over Shelley. But He wasnt consistent enough. Had a good fight with Stortini and a win over McCormick. But then he had three straight loses to Neil Belak and a questionable TKO loss to Parros. Good season but not good enough.

It's an OK list until it hits 9. and 10. ... Thornton and Koci should not be on a top 10 list..

Fritz, Boulton, Hordi, Parros, MacIntyre, Rupp all had better season's than them 2 guys..

Well that will do it, with the new season approaching this will go in the books as the offiicial HF.com top 10 for the 08-09 season. Some minor disagreements aside, it looks pretty good for me. Thanks to everyone for voting and get ready to start up your voting engines again in a month or so as the 09-10 season kicks off. Thanks again!

Does not look to much different than my list apart from the fact I had Fritz in the top 10 in stead of Janssen..

I think it will change quite a bit next season if guys like Steve MacIntyre, Brian McGrattan, D.J King play enough games. As all are top 10 quality fighters..... Also if Yablonski gets enough call ups and fights he has a good chance of being a top 10 guy next season...

I don't know how Shelley or Parros can be top 10 this year. They are top ten fighters but Rupp and Walker had way better seasons. Shelley had a bad season and Parros got beat by Stortini. Anyway list looks great.

Just for the record:

Please dont use this thread for "projected top 10 lists" or anything else because it gets very confusing when tabulating. I took out all the "guesses for 09-10" lists and put them in this thread:

Next Years Top 10 Predictions

Thanks a lot!
