Well let me start off by saying I think laraque is the most dominate fighter in the league. But that's only because of the way he fights. Now I know he's not a wrestler but from the numurous clips I have seen he basically wrestles with one hand and throws punchs with the other. He spins his opponent around until they fall. Now he has beaten ton of heavy weights but I think it's because of the way he fights.
Now you may have seen I never said laraque was the BEST fighter. Honestly he doesn't have the the hardest punch he doesnt have the best ability to take a punch either. He simply avoids punchs.
Now I agree 100% with fightingfan in he sense that Laraque doesn't go toe to toe with the best fighters. He simply just dominates them. Here's the way I see it, I don't think his opponents are hurt after fights. Let's take his fight with Reichlicz this year. Earlier in he year wrecker had a good fight with Cote that was a real toe to toe fight. I think cote lost the fight but I think reiclicz was hurt physically after the fight. Now let's look at his fight with Laraque. Laraque landed a couple to the back of wreckers helmet and he fell. Now do you think he was hurt after the fight? No he probably wasn't. And that's my point.
Laraue is simply the most dominate fighter in the league. It's the way he fights that gets him wins.

Very good post by you Nightshade88.
Most dominate fighter is either Laraque or Brashear.

True I will honestly say Georges Laraque is still the BEST fighter in the NHL, but he may not be very long if he still is denying the only reason he is in the nhl is for his enforcing ability.

I agree with you. Laraque wont be around for long. I think maybe Boogaard belak or Dj King will take over the crown.

Yeah, he sure doesn't have that scoring touch like he used to

Just a guess, but maybe that's why he is called an 'enforcer'.

Not the way the most NHL teams use enforcers these days. I think Laraque only got 2 assist last season in all.

Speaking of Gratton, I really hope he gets a full time gig in the NHL next year. I know he got hurt or he might have spent most of this season up with the Flyers, but I hope he makes the team out of camp next year or catches on somewhere else where he'll get to be in an NHL lineup every night. His fights are just so damn entertaining.
