Todd Simpson v.s. Stephane Quintal

These guy's appear to be very similar in physical stature and the way they play the game.I know that Quintal is 5 years older and is the better player when it comes to scoring.Who do you think is the better fighter?
Who do you think would win in a ten fight series?Quintal probably doesn't fight as often but both have great fight cards.

Simpsons better opponents:
Belanger,Berube,Domi,M.Johnson,Langdon,
Laraque,E.Lindros,Low,May,McAllister,McCarty,McKay ,Odjick,Peluso,Probert,Ray,Simon,
Tocchet,Vandenbussche.

Quintals better opponents:
Belanger,Cairns,Chara,DeBrusk,Ewen,Grimson,
Hordichuck,T.Hunter,Kimble,E.Lindros,May,
McCarthy,McCarty,McRae,Myhres,Odjick,Oliwa
Parker,Peters,Poescheck,Probert,Ray,Stock,
Tocchet,Twist,Vukota,Worrell.

That is a really good question. Personally I'd take Simpson. I think Todd Simpson is one of the most underrated fighters in the NHL. Not many people think a whole lot when you hear the name Todd Simpson. But Simpson is a guy that is very capable of holding his own with the mitts off. I love Simpson because he is borderline dirty, but at the same time he isn't afraid to back it up. He will fight heavyweights, middleweights and even guys not known for fighting (Jason Allison, Patrick Poulin, Peter Douris, etc).

At the same time, Quintal is also underrated. At this point in time, I'd easily take Simpson over Quintal. But a prime Quintal would be tough. I'm not sure if I can make a decision that easily.

Same here Shawn. It would be hard to favor one fighter of the other in their respective primes. Both are very solid fighters, w/ quality cards. I might be inclined to say that Stephane Quintal is the most underrated fighter of alltime -- that's how good he was, and how much credit that he NEVER received.

I have seen more Quintal fights, and think in his prime, he would edge out Simpson. Both are good underrated fighters as stated, but think in 10 fights 4-3-3, very close fights.

i would say quintal simply because of his history and experience (no knock towards simpson at all) both are greatly underrated as stated before. equal in power, size but i think the experience of quintal is the deciding factor.

I'd go with Simpson but it would not be a destruction of Quintal. I give Quintal credit, he can handle himsef.

I say Quintal because I'm obviously biased towards him but in my right mind too I'd edge him out over Simpson.

If anyone had the Pleasure of watching Quintal in Chicago you would vote for Simpson.... Stephane got beat quite often wearing the Hawks uniform(R Simpson, Sylvain Blouin, Krzysztof Oliwa). He did not impress me at all, not to mention he played like crap as well. I'd take Simpson over Quintal in a heart beat! matter of fact I'd Take Simpson over alot of other guys in this league. he more solid of a Player and for sure a better fighter.

IMO both these guys get too much credit in the fighting-department...sure both can hold their own, but they are generally out-matched when they face stiff competition...I would take Simpson over Quintal though...

Sounds like the New York Ranger version of Stephane. Were there any rumors of him not wanting to play there? I know he hated playing in NY and it showed in his play on an almost nightly basis. I do believe he did come to his teammates aid once or twice going after Cairns and I think Worrell?, but other than that his NY stay was forgettable.

As far as this fight goes, right now, I'd say Todd Simpson although not by much. Quintal's fighting style does not allow him to take too big of a beating. Good defensive fighter.

Not at first but as the season went on... he looked more and more disinterested.
