Todd Fedoruk

Welcome back.....
i like that he's back, atleast on a try-out basis. There seems to be mixed reactions..... How's he gonna play? Will he drop the mitts? Can he take a punch? cant hit - cant play...useless.... He's missed a year, and is a dark horse come training camp.
I'm pulling for him.. I would like to believe that he has healed will be as close to 100% as he can get. Im expecting him to be pretty aggresive (hitting) coming out of the gates. This is probably his last chance to play in the big show.
Im all for any enforcer coming back into the league. There has been a few other guys Wade Belak , Aaron Downey(stanley cup ) who had come backs. Raitis Ivanans is coming back??? Colton Orr,, Brian Mcgrattan ... atleast these are all guys names i can say, spell and pronounce..( with the exception of Raitis Ivanans) ....i would prefere them making the big squad over a player with no heart , no emotion and cant hit ...

Go Todd

Guy served his 11 years in the NHL and I think thats it when you´re an enforcer. He had some good bouts and also awful 2006-2007 season in which he was knocked out by Boogaard and Orr.

There's no way he'll be fighting if he makes it, if he can skate well enough to make some noise on the forecheck and use his size in front he could be effective, remember he put up 23 points one year with the Ducks.

Without being able to fight his value goes down drastically but he could settle in as a poor mans Holmstrom on a team with no size at all like the Nucks. For that role though I think Nolan has the inside track.

Then there isn't a reason to think he'll make it, or will stick if he does make it.

If Todd Fedoruk can't fight, he has no reason to be on the club. He's too slow to line guys up and hit effectively. He doesn't have the hands to be a poor mans Holmer.

His 23 point campaign was before Derek Boogaard broke his career. After that, he hasn't been the same player that commands respect on the ice due to his physical presence and his fistic presence.

I wish Fridge the best, but, just hang the skates up, or go back to fighting.

Without demeanining what he has done in his career, I for the life of me can't understand why anyone would give a tryout(and perhaps a job)to a guy like him at this stage of his career.

Seems like the expectations of Todd fedoruk are really low.... from hockeyfights.com perspective anyway.... wonder if the same doubt lays within the brass of the canucks.... im still kinda shocked on how or who brought his name to MG???? An agent, friend or himself??? I'll give some credit where as, nobody has seen or heard from todd in a year..... alot can happen in a year..... who knows mentally where Todd is at in his life..... i want to believe that in his time off, he re-conditioned himself and lit a fire under his own ass , that he wants to play, obviously! he probably doesnt think he's done, otherwise why try to crack a line-up u may have no chance of breaking..... Im thinking if he was as banged-up as most seem to think , it would make more sense to hang em up....

Perhaps there is some sort of coaching job available either in Van. or on the farm? I really have no idea what the 'Nucks are thinking otherwise. Nolan I can get my head around but 'Fridge? Now?

If it is against one of the Sedin sisters or Lapierre, he will have done his job.

Boogaard altered Fedoruk's career for sure.

Honestly guys, this Fedoruk business is a complete non-issue in Canucks nation. He won't make the team.

It will be exactly like what happened with Andrew Peters last year. Once the preseason ends you'll likely never heard from him again. He'll play a few games in the AHL and then get released.

Raitis Ivanans will be at camp, but the Flames already have PL3, we can only hope now.
