Who the **** cares about how productive the 4th line is? How is that relevant to the conversation?

Bottom line is that if they want to get Scott out against Lucic it can be done. It's not impossible.

I don't see Scott as a nuclear deterrent, I see him as a prototype weapon that has only been minimally tested and may very well be a bust.

I think if Scott's on the ice, Thornton goes after him before anything gets to Lucic. Let's not forget, Scott said about Thornton ...

“He’s Mr. Tough Guy and he’s trying to challenge Pisani. If I’m in the lineup, he’s more than welcome to come chirp at me. I’ll kick the [bleep] out of him.”

Something tells me Shawn Thornton isn't going to forget that comment...
speaking of Ott... did anyone see his " fight@ last night against Gleason? Absolutely pathetic. So pathetic in fact, that it didn't even warrant a thread in YSTB.

Scott isn't a bust. Do you remember what he did to Engelland?

I wouldn't fight that monster for all the tea in China.

As a Sabre... If he's not a bust.. He's on the road there IMO. Yeah, he's dressing- which is more than I thought- but what has he done? Against the Flyers their captain was boarded, and they were running around. Apparently Stafford getting beat up was enough of a message. Against the leafs he got dropped and wasn't heard from again. He was invisible in back to back losses against the Canes. Westgarth was dressed. Gerbe fresh off injury got boarded. Swipes were taken at Miller. If he doesn't step it up he will officially be a bust. Just my view.

Would have been a better dream if Looch ran him in it.

If that is Ott's death wish so be it. Lucky for him though he could only fight 3X. Because about 7-8 B's would want to fight him. That is where the B's have the advantage and not ever changing there line-up. FACT

That is an extremely generous assumption regarding said brain cells left in douchelip' brain. I'd go with 1, a very feeble neuron with severe dopamine and norepinephrine synaptic re-uptake issues.

I digress, I hope both team run both goalies!

scott maybe a tough customer in a fight but he has the same mentality as georges laraque which is good-luck-wishing and not-enforcing-at-all heavyweight fighter... john scott is not mean enough hes just like laraque dont expect him to give retribution to milan lucic.

ont he other hand im pretty sure the bruins will have a whole lot to say to a certain guy named steve ott... not that i like the bruins but i like their old school retribution mentality and im pretty sure thonrton did not forgot about steve ott even if it was 2009

Yeah, but at least BGL was pretty dominant and against much better competition usually.

Why does Lucic, who actually amounts to something when he is dressed, waste the time and effort with a one dimensional, cant skate, journeyman wanna be Boogieman (RIP) fighter like Scott? Scott has proven NOTHING so far. Thornton will make it perfectly clear to Scott that IF Scott wants a dance partner, Thornton is willing. As for the Sabres team toughness, still waiting to see it. Not impresed so far. Looks like this will be yet another season of Western NY fans saying how tough their team is on paper, then the Sabres leaving a certain part of their body in the locker room game in and game out.
