Hump spots something unusual and thinks it could be a breakthrough. Look for thread later.

It's true. He even has at least 2 diving calls this year.
The thing is, even though he's proven in the past that he can be tough as nails and has fought some of the top HW's over the years, he still plays his game better with a true HW to back him up. It's already been clear that the Habs need a heavy and if they got one I think Prust would revert to his old form.

I knew this disease existed, every player that puts on that sweater becomes a flopping coward that tries to draw penalties.
Personally, I thought he was overrated before he went to Montreal, he was willing for sure...I just think he's an average fighter at best.

I'm a huge Prust fan, but there's no doubt that his mentality has changed since signing with the Canadiens. I didn't expect it to happen, but sadly it has.
I'm going to the Bruins/Habs game on Sunday. Hopefully both he and the Bruins tough guys snap out of their funk, for at least one game. |

When you try to pick a fight with the other teams captain, and refuse everyone else, what the **** is going on? This is a shame. If a fighter challenged Gionta, I'd expect him to accept all invitations for the rest of the game. He can fight Finley but not anyone on the Leafs? Retarded.

Is this thread a smoke show because Phaneuf tucked tail and ran when he realized that it was Prust that he had challenged?

Hell, the refs threatened the Leafs with 10 min penalties for challenging Prust per Ray Ferraro in-between the benches... I'm surprised he didn't go after Orr tried to obliterate one of thier better players, tossed the captain around and proceeded to sucker punch Borque. |

Habs can't compete with the Leafs in the toughness department and it's not their type of game. Not sure what more you'd want from Prust, he's tied for second in the league in fights, and has been playing solid hockey. He's top notch killing penalties and has added a few points: +9 as well.
Would have been nice to see Prust drop them with somebody last night though. Someone from Toronto should have forced the issue after Phaneuf backed down. Thing is though the Habs don't have the horses to play the toughness game with Toronto. If they do, they lose. It already happened in the 6-0 game. As far as Boston fans go, I guess when your top guy has 3 fighting majors, you get to criticize other teams.
