Laraque the seasons he was with none fighting teams like Montreal and Phoenix he was around the 10 fights a year rato..

Boogaard the last two season's has also been around the ten fights a year rato, yet he's still not hit his prime in my opinion.

Guys like Orr, Godard, Cote, Parros and other fighters that play for teams who like to fight obviously put up more fighting majors a year. But this does not make them more willing, or better fighters.. It just means they are allowed to fight more by their coaches.. If Belak or Laraque were with the Flyers instead of Cote, you would see them fighting 15 + times a season easy.. Look at when Laraque was with the Pens..
That makes no sense. Last season BGL had 9 fights in 33 games played. He was mostly always injured..at that pace he trumps any of his other seasons, including his time as a Pen.
We're not holding him back, on the contrary, his body was.

And as for BGL not being willing to defend his title..he doesnt go out looking to fight all the time, but if a guy challenges him, can anyone recall many accounts of him ever saying "no". He hardly ever does..he accepts all challengers.

He wasn't really that way in Philly. He fought when he wanted to fight, and maybe that's because he is knowledgeable enough to know when its best for his team, but I remember McGrattan chasing him around the ice trying to get in his face one game and Brash skated away, the next time Philly played Ottawa, Brashear fought McGrattan and lost. On the Philly CSN feed there was footage of McGrattan yelling at Brashear in the box something like "I could have punched your F@%king head all night" (that was from hand motions and lip reading), and there was no re-match.

Are you kidding me? Orr has fought who most think are 3 out of top 5 best fighters in Laraque, Godard and Brashear. And he did well against all 3 of them in close competive fights. He fought and beat a huge 6'6 Koci in perhaps the fight of the year so far. You got to give major league Kudos to Koci in surviving those ferocious shots by Orr. He owned Cote and Parros did suprisingly well against Orr in a close bout. Thats probably the only disappointment.

Tell me another fighter with a more impressive fight card so far this year? Who has fought 3 of the most elite fighters in the league? No one else comes close. Orr is having a great year so far imo.

If anything im more dissapointed in the other top elite fighters not being as busy as Orr has been. You guys should be praising Orr for willing to go at it with anyone thus far.

I remember once I made asnine statements like this about McGratten and had to man up and take my lumps. I suggest Cobalt do the same thing regarding his views on Orr. He may not be number 1(yet)but he is a heck of alot better than you are giving him credit for. So far in an early year he has been the most active of the big heavies and had a fair amount of success. He has not backed down from any challenges and has had a few back down from him.

Orr is definitely in the top 5. He hasn't had a clear loss, most if his fights were close. Just because he hasn't dominated doesn't mean he's been a disappointment, look at all of his opponents.

This Season or in his NHL Career?

Brash killed Orr many times.
Godard best Orr clear.
BGL beat Orr clear.
