Exactly. That's why I prefer Brashear as champ then Laraque and Belak. Brashear is 37 and is never shy to fight, altough he had a pretty bad loss last season against Belak if I'm not wrong.

I have Orr at 2-2-1

Wins over Godard and Koci, losses to Brash and BGL, and a draw with Parros, although I could understand giving Parros the edge.
Orr has started okay this season.
Draws with Koci, Godard and Parros.
Loss to Brashear.
Loss to Laraque.

Belak has no fighting major so far this season
He will still get 10 + fights this year... The team he's with are not exactly now for having high fighting majors..

McGrattan after that first season in the NHL had only around 10 fights for the next two seasons in a row before he missed a season..

Laraque the seasons he was with none fighting teams like Montreal and Phoenix he was around the 10 fights a year rato..

Boogaard the last two season's has also been around the ten fights a year rato, yet he's still not hit his prime in my opinion.

Guys like Orr, Godard, Cote, Parros and other fighters that play for teams who like to fight obviously put up more fighting majors a year. But this does not make them more willing, or better fighters.. It just means they are allowed to fight more by their coaches.. If Belak or Laraque were with the Flyers instead of Cote, you would see them fighting 15 + times a season easy.. Look at when Laraque was with the Pens..

Come on Orrs just fine... Look at his fight card. Imo the only fight he lost was to Brahear and that was fairly close. 3 Draws and a slight edge over Godard. Imo his last fight was his worst performance of the year. Parros had a great grip on him and locked him out well. Orr was just not patient enough and punched himself out. Give Parros credit though he fought a good smart fight.
The main thing with Orr is that there are few right handed fighters out there who will go toe to toe with him now so it makes for some less entertaining fights. Same as when Kocur was in his prime.....

I agree, I don't think he's been bad at all. His card already has Godard, Brashear and Laraque, as well as Parros, who has been a steady top 10 guy. All the fights have been very close, so I wouldn't be too concerned. I think Orr will finish top 5 and gain momentum as the year goes on.

Orr is a legitimate top 5 fighter who opens up and throws 'em with a purpose. That leads to big wins and big defeats. The style of huggers like Georges and Brash is probably more effective over a career but guys like Colton Orr make our hockeyfights.com lives worth living LOL. He's on of my favorite fighters, a throwback guy.

And, he's a pretty good skater too. He's all over the ice knocking guys down so hopefully he'll develop some scoring skills and hang around another 10 years or so. I am a HUGE proponent of throwing guys like Orr, Lucic, Boogaard, Shelley etc onto the second team power play to just create havoc in front of the net. Sheezus, Jim Korn played the power play for NJ and scored a few goals too. Willi Plett had several 20 goal seasons. Nuff sid.

Hate to admit it, but Orr is top 5 easily.

You can't really go by the voting on here either. Too many homer biased voters.
Your last statement is the understatement of the year. It's become comical.

I dislike the Leafs but Orr has done the job he's being paid to do. He has tried to fight more than he has but can't find any other takers. Once Larauqe and Brash move on Orr could conceivable be a top 3 guy and don't forget what happened with Belak last year. He has one big fight at the end(against Brash)and many posters vaulted him to #1. Under the right circumstances you could see Orr at #1. He's got the passion for it anyways.

Belak isn't a # 1 guy , but he has done very well in his fights with Nashville. It's hard to say whether or not he'll have a chance to be the top guy if he's not around in the lineup to fight on a regular basis. He's one of a few select guys that can give Boogarrd a tough fight, and one of the only guys to beat Worrell (I know that's dating myself). Orr is in the same league as Belak, but on any given day, either one could dominate the fight.

Thats assuming he does'nt suffer from "DJ itis" and get hurt or relapse again. He's off to a good start though.
