If my punch happened to knock you off Balance, then no. TKO's can't really happen in Hockey fights, theres no Ref to decide to if the person is unable to fight. If the person gets knocked down, 90% of the refs jump in so the person can't fight more. Pretty much only Knock Downs and Knock Outs can happen

a TKO means Technical Knock Out, which means you are unable to continue fighting, Had this been a MMA fight (or even a street fight) laraque would have gotten back to his feet and continued to beat the **** out of Brash. But since its a hockey fight, the fight is over when a player hits the ice (90% of the time). btw, "fly away. crow". Wtf is that? you trying to be clever. You're a complete joke man. Get off Brashear's dick.

![]() Firstly, you have no idea how many scraps I've been in, and It's probably more than you, who probably got in ONE and got your **** rocked so hard you thought your cranium was your helmet. If you truly think getting hit in the helmet hurts as much as getting struck in the face, you're an idiot. As for the bolded statement, I really don't know what to say. Have you ever seen any combat sport? If so, please tell me wha one says that a TKO can still apply even if an opponent is fully concious and not dazed at all. In case you didn't know, it stands for "technical knock out". A knock out is when somebody is completely unconcious and nothing but. Laraque's fall was not remotely even close to that category. I'm assuming you're a bitter Philly fan whose head is still stuck in your ass and can't accept anybody whose been on a team that walloped you in this years playoffs. Oh yeah, and last years too. Wasn't BGL on that team? Talk about coincidence. I doubt anyone will shed any tears when you rid the forums of your moronic views and clouded judgement. Maybe you're the one who shoud watch some fight tapes. |

And now the morons come out of the woodwork. Guess, it's that time of the year.

Go back to the lab doc, I never said helmet shots hurt as much as getting hit to the face (when did I say that?). However, they still can hurt like hell. You have been in a hockey fight before, right? Because if you have, you would know this. This is another Brashear-Laraque type fight. Belanger was kicking the **** out of Erskine, then out of no where Erskine lands a right and TKO's Belanger. Quote:

There is such things as Standing T.K.O's. A T.K.O is when someone is unable to continue fighting, be it from a punch, or even if they are just tired. Edit: Taken from Dictionary.com technical knockout –noun Boxing. the termination of a bout by the referee when it is the judgment of the attending physician, a boxer's seconds, or the referee that a boxer cannot continue fighting without sustaining severe or disabling injury. Abbreviation: TKO, T.K.O. No where does it say knocked down. Laraque was knocked down. Not T.K.O'd. Here this is an example of a true T.K.O (oh wow, look who's fighting?!) Notice how Brashear isn't completely out of it (not a Knock Out) But is unable to continue the fight? Thats a T.K.O

Well, you based a win off of two helmet shots. Which would mean you think those did more damage than Laraques punches and ragdolling, which is maybe the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You're acting as if helemt shots are as bad as face shots. If not, you're saying Brash's two helmet shots were more than what Laraque did. Again, ridiculous. |

TKO in boxing used to mean the loser was dropped by a punch, but wasn't seriously injured. But again, you can't compare hockey fights with any other type of fight, they are different.

As for your comment on Belak-Brashear being a KO. What does that make Orr-Fedoruk? A super mega KO? A knock out is called a knock out for a reason. |
