Uhhhh no. It definetly does matter if it hits helmet. You've either never been in a hockey fight in your life, or you're lying about the pain from a helmet hit just to make people believe you. Either way, to helmet shots and a fall from Laraque doesn't erase the domination that took place for 99% of the fight. Laraque wasn't unconcious, not even dazed. I personally give the win to whoever looked to do the most damage and control the fight. You seem to think every helmet shot that results in a fall is some sort of TKO. I'd normally say it's a matter of opinions but yours is special, so I'd love to keep arguing more of your brilliant points.

I have nothing but respect for BGL but he didn't have a great year. He's still the champ though, by far the toughest guy in the league.

I've been in enough hockey fights in my life to know what I'm talking about, much unlike yourself (and a few others here). So what if Laraque wasn't unconcious or dazed, you can still be TKO'ed. If he was unconcious, or dazed, however, that would've been a KO instead. Laraque was WINNING the fight, up until he got dropped. Therefore it's a TKO win for Brashear. Look, you obviously don't know much about hockey fights, so I suggest you spend less time on this forum, and more time watching fight tape or something.

Fly away, Crow.

If I hit you once and knocked you out, or put you down so you couldn't get back up, yes.
If my punch happened to knock you off Balance, then no.
TKO's can't really happen in Hockey fights, theres no Ref to decide to if the person is unable to fight. If the person gets knocked down, 90% of the refs jump in so the person can't fight more.
Pretty much only Knock Downs and Knock Outs can happen

No, being knocked down does not warrant a TKO, it warrants a knock down.
a TKO means Technical Knock Out, which means you are unable to continue fighting, Had this been a MMA fight (or even a street fight) laraque would have gotten back to his feet and continued to beat the **** out of Brash.
But since its a hockey fight, the fight is over when a player hits the ice (90% of the time).

btw, "fly away. crow". Wtf is that? you trying to be clever.
You're a complete joke man. Get off Brashear's dick.

Firstly, you have no idea how many scraps I've been in, and It's probably more than you, who probably got in ONE and got your **** rocked so hard you thought your cranium was your helmet. If you truly think getting hit in the helmet hurts as much as getting struck in the face, you're an idiot.

As for the bolded statement, I really don't know what to say. Have you ever seen any combat sport? If so, please tell me wha one says that a TKO can still apply even if an opponent is fully concious and not dazed at all. In case you didn't know, it stands for "technical knock out". A knock out is when somebody is completely unconcious and nothing but. Laraque's fall was not remotely even close to that category.

I'm assuming you're a bitter Philly fan whose head is still stuck in your ass and can't accept anybody whose been on a team that walloped you in this years playoffs. Oh yeah, and last years too. Wasn't BGL on that team? Talk about coincidence.

I doubt anyone will shed any tears when you rid the forums of your moronic views and clouded judgement. Maybe you're the one who shoud watch some fight tapes.

Yea, you're a real tough behind a computer moniter.

Go back to the lab doc, I never said helmet shots hurt as much as getting hit to the face (when did I say that?). However, they still can hurt like hell. You have been in a hockey fight before, right? Because if you have, you would know this.

This is another Brashear-Laraque type fight.

Belanger was kicking the **** out of Erskine, then out of no where Erskine lands a right and TKO's Belanger.

First of all, you can't compare hockey fights and MMA, because they are two entirely different things. Besides, are you so sure Laraque would've "continued to beat the **** out of Brash"? The definition of a TKO can vary. I believe it is when someone is dropped by a punch and the fight is over. Hence this fight.

Thanks for proving my point, and ignoring the argument at hand.

Am I the one who brought up the idiot logic of 'getting hit in the helmet hurts as bad as a normal punch to the face'?

No, its not when someone is dropped by a punch. Thats a knock down.
There is such things as Standing T.K.O's.
A T.K.O is when someone is unable to continue fighting, be it from a punch, or even if they are just tired.
Edit: Taken from Dictionary.com
technical knockout

–noun Boxing.
the termination of a bout by the referee when it is the judgment of the attending physician, a boxer's seconds, or the referee that a boxer cannot continue fighting without sustaining severe or disabling injury. Abbreviation: TKO, T.K.O.

No where does it say knocked down. Laraque was knocked down.
Not T.K.O'd.

Here this is an example of a true T.K.O (oh wow, look who's fighting?!)
Notice how Brashear isn't completely out of it (not a Knock Out) But is unable to continue the fight?
Thats a T.K.O

Well, you based a win off of two helmet shots. Which would mean you think those did more damage than Laraques punches and ragdolling, which is maybe the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You're acting as if helemt shots are as bad as face shots. If not, you're saying Brash's two helmet shots were more than what Laraque did. Again, ridiculous.

The Brashear-Belak fight is more of a KO to me because Brashear looks a bit dazed.

TKO in boxing used to mean the loser was dropped by a punch, but wasn't seriously injured. But again, you can't compare hockey fights with any other type of fight, they are different.

It's not ridiculous at all, Brashear dropped Laraque with two good punches. Laraque threw and landed a lot more than Brashear, but he landed only one good punch. Rag-dolling to me doesn't constitute as beating someone, this isn't the WWF.

I never said that.
No, but with your statement above, being ' Laraque threw and landed a lot more than Brashear', that means you think the 2 helmet shots by Brash did more damage than Laraque did.

As for your comment on Belak-Brashear being a KO. What does that make Orr-Fedoruk? A super mega KO? A knock out is called a knock out for a reason.

I also said Laraque only landed one really good punch, other than that, he rag-dolled Brashear and landed a bunch of grazing shots, rag-dolling doesn't count as beating someone in my book. Brashear landed the two best punches of the fight that ended up dropping Laraque.
