So, when did giving Georges Laraque negative critique turn taboo?

And you would know this because.... you knocked him out right? or basing it upon the fight that happened 15 years ago? or you just know this..?

Ok so exactly what are you trying to say???

To me, a person (s) on here who thinks that Georges doesn't do enough in his fights, should have no problem telling him this. Should they?

How exactly is this awkward for the "defenceless athlete"? Put your money where your mouth is.

You can all say Georges should do this, or that, but Im pretty sure if his style was so bad (afraid to go toe to toe etc....) then more guys would be willing to fight him. You'd think so, wouldn't you?

I don't think he's scared to go toe to toe,but you can defiantly tell he doesn't like to get hit, which is perfectly reasonable.

WTF are you babbling about?

You clearly stated that people that have the nerve to critizise your god, shouldn't unless they'd would walk straight up to him and tell it face to face.

A. Now you need to be consistent, after dropping that bold statement. And remember, it should apply to every athlete, politician, celebrity etc not only Georges Laraque. Since you apparently live by the sword, i would like to see you travel around and tell people you have seen on TV and such what you say about them at home straight to their faces...
That was what it was all about, right?

B. Reading comprehension, i'm not sure how you interpreted my post. I know it wasn't like i had expected. Sarcasm for an example, could be found in the sentence that you singled out, the one which contained the words: Defenceless athlete. I'm sure Georges lives the life right now, please don't try to make him look like some kind of victim here.

So finally, who are we free to critizise on this message board?
And give me one reason as to why think you are more suitable than anyone else to make that decision.

One would expect such a man of honor as yourself to happily answer a simple question like that?!

no i base it on every fight he is in. his technique is to not get hit. he doesnt like to cause his chin is weak. look at orr and godard. these guys have chins and are not afraid to take one to give one.

brash opened up this year and got tagged. i give him props for doing so at his age and actuall having some great fights

Who goes into a fight saying, "I can't wait to get hit by another heavyweight!?" Laraque is a master of a technique that is used to win fights, which he does 99.99% of the time.

You're a bigger dolt than I originally thought. Weak chin? Maybe someone with enough fighting talent who can stop Laraque from grabbing his sweater can test his chin someday.

You describe the Belak fight as Brashear "opening up?" I'll simplify it for you: Brashear fought the way he normally does and got punched in the face, really hard, for his troubles. He found out the hard way that Wade Belak isn't Jared Boll.

Have a nice day.

Actually, he gets far fewer clear wins than the rest of his peers. 90% of his fights are draws, and he hits the ice faster than a 16 year old Samoan prostitute.

Groundbreaking, insightful post. Have you given any thought to starting your own website because, you know, you have so much knowledge regarding hockey fights?

Let us know how it works out.

Ok, so Im babbling, am I??? I live by the sword do I? Please tell me how you know this?? We've met have we??

Criticise my "god" , when did I call him god?

Please tell me why my statement --talking the talk to him straight in his face, would apply to politicians or celebrities? We are talking about Georges Laraque, and only Georges Laraque. Or shall we generalize so more and as you say include everyone , politicians, celebrities, hell why not include doctors, vets, gym teachers...... This is about criticism of Laraque, plain & simple.

Did I make Georges out to be a "victim"? Hmm..

Seriously, feel free to critique Georges all you like, but the fact is, hes still better than 99% of the fighters out there. Whether you think so or not. Ill go with the amount of respect he gets on the ice, than the amount of respect he gets from you .

Agreed, but this doesn't mean that he does not like to get hit, because he'd get Ko'ed as the other guy said.
