Laraqe

I think he's just getting a little to old and new young guys are stepping up to the plate. Yes hes a great fighter and tougher than rockes, but I personally like a guy thats tough, that can fight, and can put the puck in the net every once in awhile. Boogard has two of those, but definetly lacks the last one, and that is why I have alot of respect for Cal Clutterbuck of the Minnesota Wild. He has shown he is tougher than almost anyone by going out their and hitting everyone, and litterally everyone. He has stood up for himeself as well and fought people. He grinds the net and has already scored a couple of times this year, and that is why I like him personally. Lastly, he didnt get injured once last year, so thats another way he is tough.

Exactly the point, BGL rarely has fights where he fights open or goes toe to toe. 85% of his fights are throwing 4-5 punches then he wrestles the guy to the ice.

this years in Montreal was very hard for Big georges
Lot of injuries and the journalist in Quebec are very tough with him

in quick summary they said he was too much pay for no goal no assist no hit ( too slow to ) and no inspired fear in the others team .
Last year Komisarek take two beatdown vs lucic .The Journalist hope that Laraque could handle all the rough and tough part of the game butt obviously he couldn 't.

In fact he seems to be the only one tough player in montreal especially last year

he is so overrated and hasnt been the champ for a couple years.

dont get me wrong he is dominant but if he would ever let a fight go lobger then 15 seconds or actually open up he would lose alot more then he has.

also, giving out edges has clouded the judgements of many of you on this site. if you compare bgl and brash who has more dominant wins between the 2? brash by far.

you can win fights and be entertaining

also, when was the last time you saw bgl with a doinant win over a legit heavy? shelley is was the only one he beat decisively last year.

you take away edges in fights and bgl has way more draws than wins

Who cares though. Is there some rule where a hockey fight has to be toe to toe? He has is style, like every other fighter has their style. The fact is, he has nothing to prove to anyone, especially us on here. He gets his respect from the guys he fights.

Basically a recap of his one fight this year against Orr. Orr was ready to open up, and Georges responded with the belly to belly suplex.

I don't get it.....this is a forum celebrating a guy who gets the win by wrestling others to the ground. I will give him credit for punching out mediocre tough guys like Ivanans, etc., but I wouldn't rank him in the top of the list ever. I don't dislike BGL, however he isn't who I would go to the rink to see.

No, there is nothing wrong with it, if you enjoy being bored. Thats fine if you like it. But I would much rather see a punch land in fights. Call me silly.

Many fights aren't Toe to Toe, but they also don't end after 15-20 seconds with the same guy tackling someone. Good for BGL that he has the strength to do that. He wins many fights that way to, but I consider him to be up there with Storts and the most boring fighter around. Except BGL has been boring for a lot longer.

How many games has he been in this season, hard to fight from the press box, don't know if he is finished yet but I wouldn't want a guy as my team's enforcer who is always hurt. If he is healthy, he is still a top guy in the league.

Did you figure out that percentage? Or is that just a prejudice remark?

THe BGL of the OIL is long gone and it's a fuking shame...... he was beast, maybe when he get's out of MTL he'll return to form but i doubt it. With his age and overall health problems it's not looking so good.
