Getting sick of tough teams not fighting

Anyone else getting tired of watching games where both teams have tough line ups and there are no fights just sissy little scrums in front of the net, where the f*** has the emotion gone in this game?

I was hoping to see Carkner and Shelley go last night or Neil and Carcillo, but instead we ended up with a crap fight between Hartnell and Ruutu.

I expected more with all the toughguy movement to the east. I thought teams would bulk up and counter more, but they don't. The scrums have been as you described, no emotion.

The emotion died the day the league announced it was canceling the 04-05 season. Nowadays, coaches are so worried about rolling 4 lines and "getting the 2 points" that they've pretty much neutered their teams. It sucks, but that's the way it is.

Actually hearing teams I won't mention with a winged wheel on their chest say that the powerplay is their enforcer was the personal sign of the apocalypse..I always knew they felt that way..just didn't want to actually hear those doomsday words spoken.

There are no "tough" teams any more, just a few select tough players scattered through the league.

There is some toughness for sure which looks on fightning activity this season.
Gloves has dropped down by different, many guys either.
But enforcers job is getting down, year after year.
I likes the NHL-hockey.

True but there are lineups with a lot of guys capable of dropping the gloves but they don't for whatever reason. Look at Atlanta, my secondary team. What do they have, 6 fights total ?

Eric Boulton - HW Enforcer - most underrated fighter in the NHL.
Ben Eager - HW - I know everyone hates him but he can actually play and fight often
Chris Thorburn - HW - willing
Anthony Stewart - MW/ LHW - Claimed he was gonna fight but hasn't yet.
Jim Slater - MW - Been injured frequently but not a terrible fighter.
Dustin Byfuglien - LHW - Capable but doesn't fight often.
Zach Bogosian - MW - Recently shed the visor, ATL doesn't want him fighting but he will
Evander Kane - MW - ATL obviously doesn't want him dropping the gloves
Andrew Ladd - MW Captain type.
Brent Sopel - MW - never fights anymore but used to.
Patrice Cormier * injured but will make Atlanta's roster according to GM Rick Dudley.

How many teams even have at least 3 HW's ? Not here to argue the titles of HW or not..but Atlanta is one of the teams that should have way more fights than they do. That is a tough lineup. All of those guys listed are capable and the rookie Burmistrov will find one before the year is out, he has almost been in two fights already because for a 12 year old he plays very physical and agitates. The point of the thread is about teams like Atlanta not fighting and I agree. They've had a few scrums where guys like Stewart and Eager just stood there and did nothing..even Byfuglien had a chance to pursue a brawl and didn't force the issue. It's like they are worried about penalties, fines and suspensions.

Looks like coaches are saying; dont go fightning or causing any stupid penalty.
But after fightning 2 player sits in the box.
Maybe Atlantas coach arent just fight fan.
I know Quinneville in Chicago isnt fightning fan.

After the Boulton Vs. Erskine fight Thrashers coach praised Boulton for sparking the team (Thrashers scored immediately after the fight)..but then criticized the fight because they were down a forward because of an undisclosed injury to Boulton. I am only speculating but I am pretty sure Evander Kane was told to not engage Cooke, Atlanta can't afford to lose him or Bogosian to injury from fighting, likewise for Byfuglien. I don't know why I chose Atlanta as a team to watch this year, I guess because I liked the Hawks last season, they were tougher than the Flyers. Eager has quickly become one of my favorites though I can see why everyone hates him. I hated him when he was a Flyer.

I knew there'd be some pimple popping poster like you who'd sit there in between masturbating to soft core porn and try to somehow critique something with an 11 year old girls "sexting" type of response. Add something instead of "LOL". Or hit puberty, please.
