yes days upon months of bashing the new NHL, the bland games..and Brashear is fighting a lot (some Brash hating idiots even tried to discredit this), Brashear knocks down Orr , causes a near brawl, he has already sparked one this year (the only one) , he lets the crowd know who won, so Ward says something and gets popped...

I don't like Brashear or care much for the state of the NHL anymore at all, but I love what Brashear is doing. I do not care what worthless noobs, or bias homer posters have to say, but I enjoy pointing out what they fail to see.

Brashear is turning the fruity NHL into a few fight filled ugly games. Which is all he can do at this point, and God bless him for that. Even if it makes Orr lovers cry because Orr sucks.

I'll kick this up a notch further and say I do not care about teams anymore. The Rangers can lose every game and every fight until the year ends for all I care.....I fact, if they do lose every game and every fight that would be far more compelling to me!

I am a Brash fan as most of you know, and a few years ago I was probably at the point of homerism, but I think over the past year or longer I have been pretty fair in what I have said about him. As far as what Brashear has done over the past week, how can any fight fan not like that? Like him or not, he is one of the only ones making the new lame NHL still have a part from the old days. I enjoyed him dusting his hands off, and then nailing Ward in the face. He'll get suspended, but if he makes the game exciting I don't care.

I only watch my teams games, and have intrest in the puck only when it's the Thrashers. I watch clips of fights , and call them the way I saw it. Been like this from day 1 for me. I was pissed as any fan would be when Brashear beat up on a non fighter in Vishnevski, but I loved seeing it, even though my team was the victim that night. But now..I don't care or get insensed..because any little black eye to hockey is a good thing.

Orr sucks, and the sooner people realize that the better. I speak as a fan of a team that has an Enforcer who sucks more than he does, so I should know.
I don't watch hockey for the fights anymore, because it's a let down. I;m watching because my team is on the verge of the playoffs for the firs ttime, and I sat through every season since day 1. That's why I watch. I might catch the odd game on VS .. but I don't mark the calendar for any game anymore. But..if I see the Caps on tv, and Brash in the lineup, I'll have more intrest simply because he is fighting often, and back to his old antics. I miss it to be honest. Fights, cheap shots etc etc. I listen to a lot of morons on here harp about how gay the NHL is - and it is...but they offer the LNAH as a solution because of the fights. But when an NHL game like this one has some of the samew stuff in it... they cry about it. Me...i'll take what I can get, go Brashear..keep up the great work.

Rags need to call up Lessard, he is better than Orr, but no match for Brashear, only that Lessard could lose it and spear him or attempt to injure.
Lessard is a nut case, and you never know what he is going to do.

i don't care what everybody thinks of him. He's doing something the league is sorely lacking; Fighting . I don't care if he wins or loses, atleast he's fighting and thats more tham alot of players and teams can say.

Great thread, i was gonna start 1 up in support of Brashear myself. He has been a destoyer for yrs...in his early days he hugged alot...i havent seen him convincing beaten for yrs. I believe he is the no.1 in the league at the moment. Forget Laraque, we want to see cheap shots and an evil streak in our fighters. That cheap shot on Ward was nothing, Ward is a fanny. I agree with the loss to Peters, as he got tagged 3/4 times, however, Brashear was hardly hurt. Am waitin for Brashear vs Laraque, hope he destroys him.

Brashere must be preparing himself to fight Laraque ..Has he not had a fight in every one of his last 5 or 6 games ? He is fighting Laraque on Monday I am sure , or Gratton ..

I've pointed out the double standard many times. It never changes, and never does any good. Like I have also said many times, I am surprised that some people on here have honestly never tried to eat their own heads.

What the hell is Orr about? What he did to AO is just fu.. stupid. I want to see that litle piece of sh.. bleeding badly. Donald is realy one of the best ever, and I hope the next game caps - NYR will show who rules here.

Hell nearly all of that was just this past week! Keep it up Donald! Hate=good. I will be very sad the day I can no longer hate Donald Brashear. The more he acts up the more other teams will have to counter him, the more fights and emotion we see.

I would love to disagree with you, say Brashear is an idiot and bad for hockey, but I really can't. Brashear beat up two of my favorite players last night in Orr(liked him since he first came up) and Shanahan(my first autograph amost 20 years ago) and yep, acted like an ass by going after Ward, but you know what? THAT'S GOOD. I wish Janssen would dust his hands off everytime he murders Hollweg, or McGrattan after he finishes off Janssen. The hate and bad blood is nothing but a good thing, it's been missing for far too long, and love him or hate him, Brashear does his job to bring it back.

yes, but the rules have continued to be in favor of removing fighting and hitting from the game.

the last 2 minutes of a game suspension and fine rule is killing fighting.
the changes to remove passion and hard work from the game is killing fighting. there are less scrums, less hits due to penalties being handed out like crazy. i have seen very few Thrasher games this where they were allowed to play. most games the whistle blows when contact is made. blame the rules, or these are the worst refs in the history of the game.

i don't have the answers, but there'd be less stickwork if the instigator was non existant. there would be less worry on taking a bad penalty and never getting to play anymore on Enforcers. there would be more fighting.

you can't even bump Crosby without getting a dive and a penalty call. that is killing the game as well. while i watch Boulton get hit from behind, slam head first into the boards no call, he gets up bumps the player that did it, whistle.
