Orr...like the guy and think he's great for fights, but he's not the smartest fighter out there and isn't as dominant as a champ should be. Plain as.

Some guys can open up and just beat the crap out of you time and time again, but Orr gets caught lots and doesn't seem to have the chin to take that continued amount of abuse. Tie Domi, still the best number 28 the Leafs have had for fighters.

Please lock this thread.

If you want to debate most exciting fighter, that's fine, I think he takes that pretty easily but this "champ" talk is pretty irrelevant now. Champs don't lose and champs have to fight the best fighters from the ENTIRE league.

I'm perfectly fine with waiting until next season to reopen this discussion. Please advise when Toronto plays Calgary and Colorado and pray for the matchups we all really want to see, then I think we can rationally discuss who the champ is.

Orr's only claim to fame as of now is the fact that he was involved in the FOTY (so far) with Deryk Engelland, which was a draw.

Yay.

....And dropping John Scott?
....And beating the reigning Fighter of the Year in Shawn Thornton?
....And beating the guy responsible for KO'ing Orr out the league in George Parros?
....And mugging the league's biggest pest in Patrick Kaleta?
....And beating Chris Thorburn twice and Michael Rupp ?
....And one punching Rene Bourque?

....And many went Orr in the DE fight too.

Face it rugged, Orr has more highlights this year than the rest of the competition has fights. That's the beauty about Orr, we get to continually talk about him because he's continually enforcing.

This is a HW Champ thread, right? I love Orr and think he's the purest enforcer left in the game, but let's not go overboard...

So, you disagree with my post? Those actually aren't highlights?

Don't spotpick a small portion of the post, call out the whole thing.

You don't think beating Scott, Thornton, Parros and Engelland is HW Champ material? Name me 1 fighter that has 4 wins this year against those caliber players, other than Orr.

Colton Orr

12 fights....8 wins, 4 loses.

Clear cut wins over Engelland, Scott, Rupp, Parros, Thornburn, Thornton. Not including Kaleta.

Loss to Neil (legit), Kassien (looked like he bailed after his helmet was over his face), Westgarth (legit) and Rosehill (flash knock down).

The fact is Orr has beaten the top guys he's fought and lost to a few most would agree was shocking and in most cases, popular opinion would have Orr win the rematch.

He seems to fight up or down to his competition.

No one has the wins over top guys like "Loverboy" (no idea where that came from, but love it lol) does.

In a weird, upside down season like this, it's still more than fair to say Orr is the toughest enforcer in the East.

He's just lucky he doesn't have to fight Boll.

I'll tell you more, now that you asked. Losses to Westgarth, Neil and Rosehill. A draw with Engelland. Avoiding John Scott Round II and jumping Patrick friggin' Kaleta.

Beating Thornton is obviously no great feat anymore, as Scott easily proved. Parros has horrible balance. You mentioned Thorburn and Bourque. Really?

You're grasping for straws.

Orr's a great enforcer, no doubt, but HW Champ he isn't.
