I'm surprised nobody brought up Max Talbot.

I don't think he's cheap for the hits he throws or anything like that, more that he'll whack and slash you but will rarely drop the gloves.

I actualy always thought that same thing about Max, but unless I havent payed attention much I honestly havent seen him do many dirty things while hes been in Philly. by no means am I saying he isnt just havent noticed it, but hey I actualy thought he fought more then he actualy does prior to philly so I may be way off.

This discussion starts and ends with Evgeni Malkin because he actually gets away with almost all of his cheap sh!t, unlike a guy like Matt Cooke who has a referee bullseye on his back.

How is Scott Hartnell cheap? Agitation does not equal cheap. He's a relatively clean player, especially compared to some of the other names being mentioned here.

Max Talbot cheap? For so many years Talbot has been playing along Malkin, Cooke, Kuntz and even Armstrong... but you gotta name Talbot? He's not cheap at all. I never saw him laying dangerous hits like Chris Pronger already did.

Did I say he laid out dangerous hits? No, in fact I explicitly said that's not why I feel he's cheap. I think he'll slash at you ect. but won't drop the gloves.

It's not cheap to slash. BTW Talbot has 22 fights in the NHL, he has always been willing to get his ass beaten up. Reminds me of Gregory Campbell.

He has 20 fights in the NHL over 9 years. So he has essentially averages 2 fights a year.....I wouldn't call that willing. Campbell is far more willing than Talbot.

It depends where you slash the other player. Anything below the knee and above the waist is cheap. There's no getting around that.
