A prime Tony Twist wasnt pleasant. Probert had a very mean and surly edge to him while Joey Kocur seemed to throw with a calm, cold-blooded fury. A prime Sandy McCarthy always seemed pretty p*ssed off when fighting also. I think any of these three guys would give many modern enforcers the shivers if they lined up next to them, they were a different breed who fought with real fire, whenever, and wherever.

Not all active but guys that come to mind are
Former Simon- just angry and fighting mad Kocur- as stated above and an excellent analagy "Cold Blooded" Grimson- wanted to hurt you "Crazy eyes" Current Orr- somewhat in the Kocur mold Tucker- mw when the gloves come off he is fighting mad. Overhyped- the guy was good but Parker had a beard and tatoos thats it. I do love the right he threw that gave grimson dancing feet. |

Garry Howatt, Nick Fotiu and Jim Korn from when I was younger...Stu Grimson always looked mad, as did Randy McKay. Cam Neely always had an intense fight face...Eric Lindros looked like he would kill you.
These days Colton Orr is one that seems to be mad alot...and Chara has looked mad in the past....The young Joe Thornton was one pissed off dude. |
