I don't think anyone flips out like a Fotiu, Grimson, Brown, Holt, Cochrane or Probert these days but contemporary NHL/AHL guys like Andrew Peters, Jesse Boulerice, Francis Lessard and Derek Boogaard come close. Probably more of that emotion in the minors than the bigs these days. These guys are making too much money now to do anything really stupid on the ice.

I'm going to go with Kevin Bieksa. He always gets pretty intense when he drops the gloves and looks like he doesn't want to stop.

Leafs Fan 77 hooked on the RB juice. And without no technique what so ever.

this is actually an untouched topic until now......interesting topic.

the one guy that ALWAYS stood out to me as an angry fighter that threw with hatred was Joey Kocur......hands down.i`m not just saying this because of the destruction he left but because he literally threw to decapitate you & with everything he had in him.

i`ve never had the privelige of whatching Bob Gassoff play but have been informed by a couple of very reliabel sources that there was nobody nastier or angrier than he was..............it would`ve been an honor to see atleast one game of his live.

Godard may be number one for active. When Brash gets riled up he could be a very angry fighter. Orr is up there also and when he and Godard go it is a nasty bout, looking forward to their next dance.

In the past I would have to say Twist. He was a maniac for sure. As a whole there were many more nasty fighters in the glory days. Probert was bitter.

I wouldn't say Avery and Tucker are the angriest fighters, but their scrap in Toronto last year is one of the angriest fights I've seen. They honestly looked like they wanted to kill each other.
