so what are everyone's thoughts about tomorrow night? does anyone think anything actually happens? does Bollig even dress? i ****ing love him, but let's not forget he was on the ice when the play happened and did nothing. if it's Mayers, can he deliver the punishment we all want to see Torres face? Shaw maybe?! i don't know.

honestly, and sadly, i don't think anything happens. i'd even go so far as to say we'll get out hit, as usual. i do, however, strongly believe we will 'win one for Hossa' and get the W, but, obviously, for us that's not enough.

any thoughts?

bollig should go with him...if mayers does it, he'll get his ass kicked which will do absolutely nothing for the team. yeah they'll say the right thing, but we all know, this fight needs to draw blood and lots of it and mayers would probably lose in a fight with a pillow.

asking brookbank to fight torres is wrong as he wasn't here and has nothing to do with this mess. bollig or no one in my mind.

If I remember correctly didn't he try getting at him but Torres got into the fetal position and everyone jumped in? I think if both dress then they fight. Bollig will force the issue.

I just want something to happen, don't give a damn who does it.

During the Boston/Montreal game on NBCsprt tonight, Keith and Milbury talked about what might happen in the game tomorrow.

They mentioned the long suspension, but, that does not always settle things.
Keith said that something should be done to send a message to Torres. Hit him hard and often. He also said one of the Hawks tougher players should drop the gloves with Torres in the first period and get this settled. He also said that he hoped Torres would accept the challenge and get this put behind both teams.

Milbury agreed that is what should happen, dropping the gloves, but doubted that would happen.

Those aren't their exact words but that sums up the way they felt about this. They also mentioned that Torres has a history of this type of action. They did not say this, but, from Keith I got the feeling that he felt Torres should pay for what he did and man up for change.

As for me, I was at that game and couldn't believe the hit. After the hit Torres not only turtled, he tried to crawl under the ice. I would like to see Bollig or Brookbank just wail on his ass. Not just fight him, but beat his ass.

This is one of the few times in the last 54 years of watching hockey that I want someone to pay full price, with interest for a really cheap shot.

Usually, I feel let down by this kind of build up only to see nothing happen.
But, Tonight... I actually think something is going to happen.

Ya gotta love him. He is game as hell and ALWAYS has everyones back, no matter who he has to fight.

But, my aching ass, that was pathetic.

Im wondering if there is more of a payback on home ice? For one both heavies were scratched. Torres didnt get alot of ice time. One thing, reguardless of the showing torres was challanged. I would think given raffi torres history vs the hawks.. There is probably more to come.

Ultimately, this is why I'm starting to get over some of my initial disappointment. The outcome of the fight wasn't very satisfying, but at least the fight happened. I just wanted to see him get his face re-arranged.
