Oh.................
And before you ask chilly, or any of you other guys, contrary to popular belief, I was not there for the first puck drop.

I had school that day.

Q needs to start playing Bollig. Frolik and Kruger have both been alright, but Mayers has been invisible besides tryng to fight Boll. And Bollig wsa playing great, don;t think q liked him fighting stewart when we had all the momentum but come on. Side note I think Saad is definetly overrated, he needs a lot more time, we can't have him taking up minutes with hossa and toews if he isn't producing call Jermey Morin or should i say give Kyle Beach a couple of games to make an impression until Carcillo is back.

i agree that bollig should be playing, but morin and/or beach do not have the upside that saad has not do either of those two have the ability to look any better than saad has and will.

yes, saad should be in rockford but it's not gonna happen in place of those two useless players.

Honestly, i think Q didnt play Bollig these past few games simply because he's been so active in the physical/fight realm. My guess is that he just wanted to give him a rest.

OBZ,

I hope you are right.

It could just be me, but, Bollig did not look like the fighter we come to know and love in his last fight. Can't put my finger on it, but, he just looked like something just wasn't right. Hope I'm wrong.

The problem I see, is that he gets hit a lot when he fights...
not straight shots, but back of the head and other glancing blows.
Those take there toll im sure. It appears that he doesn't have the reach advantage some other guys do and is consistently in harms way...
Dont forget, he got blasted in Rockford by Bordeleau in the back of the head which TKO'd him earlier this year.

He hasn't been as active in either fight this year, to me, as he was last year. Tonight watch him open up and blast someone on the Wild.

In another thread I saw that thruby said he was driving from N.D. to the game in Minn.

If you see this, thruby, hope you give us an account of what you saw and felt at the game tonight. Would be nice to get another first hand account like with OBZ.

if the hawks win tonight...that 5 on 3 they just killed won it for them. the wild should have at least tied the game up, but crawford and the shot blocking denied them

Gladly! So far, there's a lot of energy in here, which is awesome. The last few years I've come, it's been a bit tame until the third. That's the one reason I'm glad Parise and Suter signed. Glad they have this energy in town.

As far as game action, its been intense. The crowd was really letting Bollig hear it. Lots of intensity on the ice too. Gotta love it.

Loooooooong way to drive for the first loss. Jesus. Two things in particular stood out. Oduya is so awful with the puck it's almost baffling and Bickel looked just like Bickel. Dudes huge and he had what? 1 hit? Give me a ****ing break.

Overall, it looked way too much like a game from last year. Sloppy passes leading to turnovers, a couple big saves for Minn and a couple bad hops for Chi and it was just too much to over come.

Only 4 hours to home!

It looked like Crawford tightened up during the shootout.

He made some quality saves in OT, but after getting faked out on the first goal of the shoot out, he looked like was really fighting it. That last shoot out goal was bad.

Sucks to see their first loss but it was going to happen eventually...at least they got a point.

Some positives - Minus the shootout, Crawford looked very solid. I'm still not 100% sold on the power play, but the penalty kill hasn't looked this good since the year they won the cup. Hopefully that continues.
