so mathieu schneider (probably unwillingly) comes to us now for 2 old guys and a minor leaguer that will never see nhl ice ever. i hope he comes and plays good for someone who actually wants his services unlike mr. brian burke. good luck to lars and welcome to the atl schneids

9 goals against vs st. louis tonight. absolutely terrible. the only fight was exelby and dj king. dont know how it went but it was when they had already given up like 7 or 8 goals. what a great season to look forward too.......

sourdough its possible but im not sure which way to lean yet. they need to ship down 3 more forwards to chicago. i think he'll be on the last cuts due to the waiver system in the league. aka wait for most rosters to be set and sneak him through cause other teams that could use him have no cap space to pick him up.

another good question is who is gonna be the 7th d-man. oystrick, valabik, or kulda??? i dont give rivers a shot. i dont think kulda is ready yet as ive posted before. so that leaves oystrick or boris and i dont know which way johnny is leaning (cause im not there lol).

GYODdamnit Pavs...

I like Moose more than most, but I Pavs might shouldve been kept around. Just that Moose didnt retire this past season and The Teflon Don, as some call him, tends to favor the incumbents. Fan blogger Falconer suggested awhile back to keep Pavs up and giving him about 30-35 games as Kari needs a break. Made some sense to me, but this happens. I dont know a good way to deal with his situation now. Maybe let him go to Russia?

sourdough i agree with ya. i think they need to trade kari and his oft-injured ass to make room for pavs. as much as i would like to see him in atlanta, i think waddell made a big boo-boo with this choice.

Woot. A win. Now lets see how many losses before the next one. Im confident in JA as a coach and the players as players and people, but this IS the Thrashers we're talking about here...

Thread title perfectly describes this season so far for us. Please name at least one aspect of the game, where we dont suck right now. We cant score, our defense is laughable, goalie injured and we dont play physicaly enough. Whats left to entertain the fans?

First seasons when the team entered the league we did suck too, but back then we had at least few guys like Odgers who could entertain the fans in different way.

Please, let Waddell go.... he is killing this team.

we've been saying that on this site for the last year or two. he got absolutely shafted in the hossa deal as of now. armstrong is ok, but my god christensen looks like needs some time with the wolves to get some confidence back or something. the few games i've watched he's looked horrid.

He gets shafted on every deal he makes. How about trading Coburn for Zhitnik (waived, now in Russia)? Or getting Tkachuk (who did nothing for us in playoffs) for 1st and 3rd picks in 07?
That list could go on and on.

At least Waddell didnt stay as coach....

Not that it matters, but I went to todays game....It is offical....WE SUCK. No effort except by Kovy, Bolts, and Thorburn. Koz falls down when someone skates by him to fast, Schneider is chewing cud in the pasture, Valabik was literally giving piggyback rides to some yahoo on the ice and did nothing about it, Williams is taking cud chewing lessons from Schneider, Armie is decent, Toby is not the Toby from last year, too many gaps....will be a long season. Anderson will be lucky to survive.

I doubt we get Tavares, but I would guess we get in the top-5 in the draft. Maybe next year...

FVCK. Tonights win over the Habs was tighter'n the skin on a hotdog! Much more fan-friendly than the usual shootin pool with a rope.
