quebec and the hammer do need nhl teams though. pretty sure buffalo would still survive with a hamilton team.

well see. still not sure about florida and phoenix or even nashville.

To expand on the Buffalo thing I don't think that Buffalo would be affected as such with a team moving to Hamilton, it would be the Leafs that would lose out. The cynic may well say that is the reason why they haven't already got a team, and may well never will.

For an NHL team to locate in Hamilton both Toronto and Buffalo have to agree on them locating their as that team infringes on both the Leafs and Buffalo territorial rights miles wise , Toronto will never agree to a team locating a 30-40 minute drive from their home rink ..

What if certain concessions were made to Toronto. There was talk of a new arena going up in Markham don't know where they are with that one though.

The GTA can easily support two NHL teams but yea a lot of red tape to go through.

Quebec will be next no doubt.

I don't know how people talk about Seattle when they could not keep the Super Sonics. If Seattle got a team would that not infringe on Vancouver's territory?

Markham is out of their teritorial zone , so is Kitchner , both citys can build an arena without giving up any concessions .
No , I dont think Seattle would infring on Vancouver , not too shore on that but if I remember right it's about a two/three hour drive between both cities ..

Markham is way closer to the ACC than Copps in downtown Hammer would be though.

I'd be more worried about Buffalo than Toronto obviously if Hamilton or Kitchener were to get a team, still think Buffalo would be ok especially if there were severance paid to Toronto or Buffalo.

Sabres fans what do you think about another team in Southern Ontario (Hamilton, Greater Toronto Area or Kitchener)?
