I can see both sides to this argument. It does seem that the Rags do miss the intimidation factor they had with Prust and Rupp last year, they don't seem to have that. Not sure why they traded Rupp. I really don't think it will be all that difficult for them to pick up a 4th line enforcer should they feel the need. Montreal no doubt overpaid for Prust, can't fault the Rags for not matching and throwing their salary cap out of whack.

This bullsh*t that I constantly read about guys like Haley is so ridiculous! He's an AHL player and the Rangers winning or losing isn't riding on a guy like Haley!
You are so fXcking insane it is beyond ridiculous. You are like a parrot with the "Squawk, goals against, squawk, special teams, squawk, face offs". You repeat shXt we have all known since we were 10 and act like you are teaching everyone about hockey. People don't talk about that stuff in every post because it is so obvious, not because they don't know any better.

All I said about Prust was that they don't get out of the first round without him. Torts gave Prust a bunch of credit after game 6 but you were probably too busy blowing him to hear it. I said nothing about him still being on the team, I was speaking of the kind of team we had so learn to read and stfu with your crying BS. That is so hypocritical coming from an insane parrot that cries about Nick Fotiu not playing in some year around 1979 and how that cost the Rangers in the playoffs any chance you get. In your world you can cry about something over 30 years ago repeatedly but I can't mention the fact that we let a heart and soul guy leave without replacing him.

And parrot boy keeps mentioning Haley. You don't debate one point I made but you keep bringing up Haley who I didn't mention. You just show how bad your tunnel vision is parrot.

To me he's as valuable as Paille and Campbell are to the Bruins, all due respect but they're role players. Good penalty killers and Campbell is solid at face-offs...but they shouldn't make or break your team's season. I think Rangers fans are over estimating his value here, losing him shouldn't make a huge difference in the team's success.
Thanks-I loved Prust but that contract was huge. It's a salary cap NHL and that is the reality.

I think Big Jack was still in the middle of his emotional breakdown after Carkner beat on Boyle to notice Prust.

That was probably one of my favorite Big Jack meltdowns...

Naturally we all want some muscle. Anyone who knows me knows what I think about Emile Francis and not protecting guys like Ratelle who stunk in the playoffs and Herb Brooks who took a tough 1981 team and made them weak and small and never able to compete with the Islanders.
What kills me is the constant reference to guys like Haley who is an AHL player or Newbury who is an AHL player and you should of seen all the ridiculous comments when the team started 1-3 and had 6 fights!
Now they are 6-2 with only two fights so where are those guys logic!
The team started 1-3 because they allowed 14 goals and only scored 9 goals!
Now they have scored 24 and only allowed 16 in the last 8 games and the PK is coming around and some of the guys that I mentioned as having to get going have gotten going!
The last thing is how many teams have a Lucic and Chara on their teams? Those type of players are few and far between!
Hopefully McIlrath will develop like a Jeff Beukeboom who is coaching him in Hartford and we need to find a Clarkson type or a Neil type that can play and also play mean and hit!
They also treat Asham like he is some HW! I never remember Asham being thought of as a HW fighter. He is a useful 4th liner and his salary is in line with what 4th liners make!
If the Rangers keep the goals against down, have a strong PK and get more consistentcy from Gaborik, Richards, and Del Zotto, they will be fine along with getting some PP goals!
The PP remains a big mystery and troubled area as we saw in last years playoffs!
