Ouch that is what you call on the job training. Ivanans goes about 265 so he could have maybe tried someone else first but you also must realize there is a short time frame to make an impression. Regardless it will make Keefe a little better in his next scrap. He will face no one on the ice who is more powerful. Why do some of these fighters have such long hair and especially the HW. The punch that will hurt you the most is always the one you don't see coming. I know it looks cool to take the lids off and run your fingers thru your hair but at the NHL level it is a business and most enforcres don't have bangs hanging in there face because they know better.

I'd like to agree with you about Keefe having a chance to make the Coyotes, and if this was last year, he might have a chance to handle the rough stuff.

But with Carcillo and now Fridge and McGrattan in the desert this season, Keefe doesn't have enough offensive talent to stick in the show yet.

Ivanans should handle Keefe. I give Keefe a lot of credit for being willing to drop the gloves with Ivanans.

Yea he doesnt have the offensive skill as Carcillo. DC has his spot for sure. But good to see him trying!

Keefe is not big at all. Hes a light heavy if that. More of an agitator player than anything.

haha I've noticed that too. or maybe it's a coyote thing with Tyson Nash to Josh Gratton to Daniel Carcillo.

Onto the fights:

Nice to see Todd Fedoruk fight Clune before the game got 3 minutes in. In the rookies game, Clune was messing with Fedoruk's fellow linemate, Kyle Turris. So that is a preview of Fedoruk's protection.

I saw a pic of the Murray-Clune fight with Murray getting the take down.
