Philadelphia at Boston 3/17/2012

I know it's early yet, but I'm really looking forward to this game. The home crowd should be liquored up and loud. Anyone going to this game?

Anyways I could see.

Shelley-Thornton
Rinaldo-Campbell
Hartnell-Boychuk/Ference
Manning-MacDermid
Simmonds-Lucic? (I want to see Lucic fight in this game don't care who)

Hopefully we can get at least 2 of the above mentioned scraps.

I think the best fight wil be Tim Thomas fighting the puck. He has been awful of late. Caught the game on NBC and I have the center ice package and I use to kind of "circle Bruins games on the calander" as they WERE one of the most fun teams to watch. Not so much anymore. But I'm a Blue Jackets fan, so I shouldn't rip any team I guess, lol.

I was hoping Sestito was going to play because I think quite a few Bruins would like a chance to get him for what he did to Horton.

Im thinking Paille will be back in by Saturday so MacDermid might be back in Providence. A Thornton/Shelley is probably a given, and a Looch/Simmonds would be interesting. B's have alot of issues, with only three weeks or so to sort them out.

Shelly has an outside chance of being dressed. Hopefully Lavy goes with the toughness. Manning as no chance of being dressed. One of Meszarov, Kubina, Timonen should be back. First out is Manning.

Hartnell Giroux Jagr
Simmonds Briere Schenn
Read Talbot Voracek
Rinaldo Coutier Shelly/Wellwood?

Flyers are fighting for playoff positioning and Bruins need to get their act together. I doubt this game has more than 1 fight.

Philly better keep shelley in cause simmons is the only other flyer that can do some damage.

With the way the bruins have been playing I'd be shocked to see more than one fight. I would love to see Simmonds fight a thornton or Lucic but I'm guessing that won't happen. Possibly shelley-Thornton in a mediocre draw. I do see the bruins getting run out of the building though. They have let teams take it to them physically over the last few weeks and the trend is disturbing to say the least.

This is a sloppy team right now and they have been in a funk in every phase of the game.

Is it me or do the bruins sukk at weekend afternoon games? I don't know but this team needs to find a spark. Be nice if they could get something going with a big win over philly at home. I don't think I'll be able to deal with philly running us out of our own building. that would be embarrassing.

Flyers seem to have trouble getting going for afternoon weekend games as well, seems like they don't wake up until the 3rd period, by then it's usually too late.

With the way Bruins players have been dropping like flies lately, I think MacDermid will definitely play.
Bergy and Sauve got hurt last game in addition to Pouliot and Paille already being out. Their statuses are still unknown. The Bruins called up Whitfield today but that's only in addition to MacDermid, not instead of him.

Should be an interesting game.

Unfortunately, the time of year dictates the level of physical play so unless someone does something very naughty and gets away with it, I doubt we'll see much action.

it should be very physical but points are at a premium right now and message sending is secondary.

Would love to see someone KO Lucic (not likely) only because of what it would mean here.

Lucic has a great chin, in my opinion. He just sucks at taking a punch to the snout of his, i haven't seen him buckled yet at the NHL level (Says he has been TKO'd in the WHL but there's no video) - I don't see him getting KO'd

He fights pretty wide open and has taken big punches from some guys with nasty power, that being said it seems like he has a ton of trouble when someone pops him in the nose.

Anyone getting hit in the nose is going to have trouble. Easily bleeds and makes you tear. Not much control over that unless you have the nerves in the nose cauterized.
