New Jersey at Philadelphia 9/22/08

The Flyers' website will be streaming the game live at 7:00 PM ET tonight for those in the Philadelphia area. The Devils will have audio.

Lineups will be added to this post later.

Im assuming NYC is not considered part of the Philadelphia viewing area. This blows. There's gotta be some way I can get this.

Anyone see where it's mentioned that you have to be in the Philly area to watch this? I just looked on the Flyers web site and right now it doesn't say anything about it being for locals only. It just says "You are watching Devils at Flyers 9/22/08.

Look in the possible fights thread. Some others have posted links to sites that stream internationally.

I posted a link to a site which keeps track of all p2p streams of every game fans are watching on. The link is in that post. I got all of the local philly games broadcast on comcast's CN8 last year by checking availability at that site. Unfortunately FIOS doesn't carry CN8, finding this site was awesome.

I assume I can receive the Flyers feed online. I clicked on the link on the website and it redirected me to a new window and a video player came up, it was black but said now playing live, I guess it will pop up when the game starts. Correct?

That is correct.

It's on the very front of the site before you click the link:

The Flyers will open their eight-game preseason schedule tonight against the New Jersey Devils at the Wachovia Center (7:00 p.m.). The game will be carried right here via webcast in the local television viewing market courtesy FlyersTV.

That seems weird, I'll have to try it at 7 and see what happens, it opened with no problem earlier.

I don't understand

why the league makes it so bloody hard to catch preseason action. nhl.com has little or nothing to indicate any way to catch a game. Guess they haven't figured out a revenue stream from it yet. Once the season starts for real, I'm all over Center Ice, but I'd like to see some action now.

They had preseason on Center Ice online last year, but not this year for whatever reason.
