New Jersey Devils - New York Rangers 12/27/2008
The last game had 3 fights and 12 goals. Maybe we could up the fight total and lessen the goal total. Big problem is Orr is battling the flu right now. He was instructed to stay home for the morning skate but will try and play tonight. The Devils love hitting the Rangers so I hope he is a go or we may get run out of our own building. Orr won't stop the Devils from hitting but he could help even the playing field. If he plans on beating Rupp in a fight he better have a different plan. He has to get in tighter or he wont land a punch.

Hopefully we get a good game and someone throws a questionable hit early.

Actually, there were 4 fights last game.

I hope this game is at least half as good as the last one.

Thanks, I forgot about Callahan - Langenbruner.

Orr is in. I wonder if anyone will target Girardi for his treatment of Zajac last game or if the Devils will just brush that off as part of the game.

Is Salvador still hurting? It pains me to see him in a Devil uniform because it is a constant reminder of what a jackass Sather is. The Blues were selling defensemen. The Rangers get Backman and the Devils get Salvador, who is cheaper and better.

Salvador is still out with an "upper body injury". He's supposed to be close to returning though.

Yeah guys I turned my back on that game after the first. The refs didn't help but Renney doesn't know how to get his team into the game it seems.

Any team that goes to the net like the Devils will give this team trouble. The coverage in the crease is a joke and not getting better any time soon. How I would love to have a player like Salvador, who could have been gotten cheap, but Sather says you need defensemen who could move the puck these days.

What did the Rangers give up to get Backman at the deadline last year?
