thats not icing. theres a rule now where even if the guy is a stride behind the red line, icing is washed as long as his team is going after the puck. it keeps the game going. if youre going to blame anyone, blame stuart. but stop making an ass of yourself trying to blame a bad call on why you lost.

Great points.
Stuart was the culprit. He had a terrible series for the Wings. I alos want to point out that had Hossa not left Pitt, there's no guarantee that they'd be the Cup champs. Salary cap would have been affected not allowing them to make deals for character players that played a huge role in these playoffs to go with their stars. As for westgennylax3 who refuses to let this go. He reminds me of a Ranger fan who came to games with his 2 sons who were Islander fans at the Coliseum during our Dynasty years. He always had to get one jab in when we won. "You gotta admit, you guys got nervous when we cut the lead to 2 goals. you know you were ready to wet your pants." It's just good old fashion hockey trash talk. He's a hockey fan, let's not make this personal. Attack his opinion, not him and let's hope we get as great a final next year as we did this one. |

thank you my god people telling me to go play in traffic like little serious...but once again never said it costed them the whole game im saying it def. would have played out differently..but the whole series there were HUGE calls on pitt that altered goals, which can alter games..and everyone is saying well they werent good on special teams, but the thing is they wouldnt need to be 95% on everything to overcome the horrific calls leading to goals...and if youd like me to explain i will

If anyone ever sees me blaming a Stanley Cup finals loss on a questionable icing call, please throw me into traffic. |

It has absolutely nothing to do with that. Most of the people disagreeing with you hate the pens too. People won't admit it because it doesnt matter, that icing is waved off 9/10 times anyways and if you watch the replay Stuart knew it wasn't going to be an icing so it's not like you can blame that for the turnover. You're just constantly bitching and whining about how the Red Wings were somehow victims of some terrible crime when infact it was a nonfactor. Thats why people are telling you to go play in traffic.

It doesn't matter. You could argue that if the refs hadn't given the pens 4 straight pk's in game 5 it wouldnt have turned into a blowout. You can make the argument that there were questionable calls in any game. Good teams win despite calls. Now have a little bit of dignity and knock the whining off.
