Now that is a sick record for Gretzky and he did it in only 18 games. Even Paul Coffey had 37 that same season, a dman record. Malkin can certainly reach 40 in a couple more games. Very impressive.

Malkin has been an absolute Russian sh!t storm from hell this post season. No one has been able to stop him. I don't care if you build a brick wall at the blue line blocking the entire offensive zone and put a safe door with about 16 pad locks on it on the net this guy would still find a way to break through and score. Sid also played a great game tonight as I expected. You can't expect to stop him night in and night out, no matter how good you are, Sid will find a way. I said Pens in 6 before this series started, I never doubted them when they were down 2-0, and I'm still saying Pens in 6. If they steal a game at the Joe on Saturday, and I have all the confidence in the world that will, they WILL without a doubt be lifting the Stanley Cup on their home ice this year.

That tends to be the standard answer when you have no valid point to respond with.

Anyone have a clip of that dive by Sid in game 4?

VS showed a replay of it and Doc and Ed said nothing about it and changed the subject real fast.

It's in the TSN highlights of the game, but I haven't found an isolated clip. I was really sickened to see Crosby pull that. The slash from Maltby was there, and I can believe it might have hurt like hell if he caught him in the right spot, but this is the Stanley Cup finals. You don't lie sprawled out on the ice with the puck still in your own zone. This is the type of sacrifice you need to make in the finals:

I've thought Crosby has done a lot of maturing from when he came into the league, but seeing him pull that crap in his own end was unacceptable.

(EDIT: found a clip)

Aside from that, Crosby had a great game when he needed to, and Malkin continued to play like a man possessed. He was generating chance after chance and started to take the body a little bit more. I can't believe someone here is claiming he was taking cheap shots. Wake up. The guy is raising his game to a higher level while playing the highest stakes of hockey, and to me that seemed to have included an increased willingness to get involved physically. Right now, Malkin looks unstoppable.

And if Crosby, who I think was trying hard earlier in the series without getting anything accomplished, can gain some confidence and momentum from his goal and beautiful assist tonight, then he should be a much tougher player for Detroit to deal with for the remainder of the series.

Malkin should be well on his way to winning the Conn Smyth.
This young Pens team learned alot about playing through nagging injuries last spring
and sacrificing on every shift.

The one thing I have to point out is a puck playing goalie like Fleury.
Keeping it simple. How many times did he come out of the net and move the puck decisively to keep the flow going? That's huge and any Islander fan can attest to
this goiing back to our frustrations with our goalie.

Great series now. I hope the Pens win this. Their role players have really stepped it up
and I'm sick of watching Holmstrom, Draper, Helm and Cleary wisely get away with borderline interference thanks to clever, timely positioning. Bastids.

Thanks for the clip.

And I agree that "sickened" is the appropriate words to use.

What is the purpose of having a dive rule on the books if they arent going to call it?

Props for the Pens for their best game last night. Crosby and Malkin can be unstoppable at times. I think the Wings got flustered for the first time in the series.
Does anyone else notice Lidstrom labouring out there. They are already down perhaps their best forward. It might catch up to them.

On a side note it's a bit alarming when they scan the crowd in Pittsburgh. Did they let it entire sections of special Olympians last night? Or is that the way the people of Pittsburgh really look. They make Detroit fans look like super models. Are their any skinny chicks in Pittsburgh?

If I was you I woulnt want the dive rule enforced because if it was the whole ****in Red Wings team would be in the box.

Without Datsyuk out there, the Rock City is in trouble...

The Wings do have their fair share of divers but not everyone dives.

The C of the Pens dives, the C of the Wings doesnt.
