BRUINS LEAD THE SERIES, 1-0
Kessel and David Krejci gave Boston a 2-0 lead before Montreal tied it on goals by Chris Higgins and Alex Kovalev.

Christopher Higgins scored on a wrist shot from Glen Metropolit & Alex Tanguay.

Towards the beginning of the 2nd Period, Alexei Kovalev took a slap shot from the blue line to tie the game up, 2-2

Mark Recchi almost tied it on a third-period power play with a tip-in that hit the post and bounced off Price's back toward the goal line. But Price gloved it before it crossed the line, and Chara slapped it into the net seconds later.

Kessel made it 4-2 with 13.4 seconds left on an empty-netter on a pass from Milan Lucic, a goal that prompted a round of fisticuffs that continued after the final whistle.

Good to see that the game last night scored a huge rating for nesn. That's the spirit Boston.

Now having said that, I surely wish that another massive audience can watch as their Bruins get smoked in game 2 tomorrow night.

Yeah, its good to see hockey important here again. Also, as I have mentioned before, the Bruins are actually taking priority over the Sox tomorrow. I am shocked...

the WHOLE montreal D-men corpse is scared of our 20 year old wrecking ball Lucic. game after game you see them let up and let him go in the corner first so they dont have to take a hit from him. Half the time it turns into a scoring chance for us and yesterday directly resulted in our 2nd goal. Laraque wants to talk about shaking in boots?? It is plain and simple which players are shaking and they dont wear black and gold....

this is a game where the B's can really make a statement, by playing hard, and giving a 60 minute effort, and showing discipline. If they don't play down to montreal's antics, and stay focussed, the Habs can't hang with them
