Flyers at Rangers 1/29/13

Should be another solid game between these two teams. Let's see some hard hits, great goaltending, and a couple fights. The refs need to tuck the whistles away for this one.

No penalties so far. The Flyers don't look so good.

Yawner so far. First shift with all the tough guys was pretty good with some hitting but otherwise this is trash.

I know Rinaldo can throw some killer checks, but Boyle should have a little more dignity than that.

The Ranger color guy said Boyle's skate got caught in a rut and it looked like that may be true. If not it was disgraceful but either way, horrible call. Honestly I don't think I have ever seen Boyle dive.

I think the worst of all penalties is the delay of game for clearing the puck over the glass. Just don't allow the offending team to make a line change and call it a rule. Why is it a penalty? It's not like it's ever intentional.

Then you get Giroux's dive on Gaborik late in the game. Ugh. Disgraceful.

And I can believe the rut thing. Boyle's face and Rinaldo's reaction seemed to speak to that.

Oh Pesa, get this, on Twitter there are Rangers fans saying Talbot twisted Callahan's arm on purpose and "tried" to yank it out of the socket etc.

Dear God! I guess Talbot was just setting him up for the figure four leg lock. Maybe the same fans complaining that McGinn got jumped with a visor on last game?

That is a sickening accusation just like this was a sickening game to watch. The refs let them play early and still the game was devoid of intensity. I miss Prust. I saw Bickel trying to be physical but he seemed to be glued to the bench most of the game.

The Flyers could have used a fight at any point in this game to get some sort of spark. I feel like next time the two teams play it will be a lot rougher.

I almost fell asleep watching this game... Boring, non-eventful, Flyers looked like a farm team out there..

Almost seems like these guys have stopped playing for Lavi.. honestly, he needs to go!
